Forty-fifth President Donald Trump changed his iconic profile picture on Monday afternoon from the profile picture he has used for nearly 8 years to a new, powerful painting of his face with an American flag design.
The painting is by a pro-Trump artist who goes by “Maga Langelo, 44-year-old Soviet emigre, Lena Ruseva.”
“I wanted to play around with childish fantasies. Some people hate him and call him racist. Some people love him and they are real fanatics. Everyone has their own picture of Donald Trump,” Ruseva told the New York Post in November 2021.
“I like Donald Trump as he is a strong person,” the artist said. “It’s easy to criticize. It’s easy to say somebody is wrong or bad, or whatever, but how many people have reached what he reached?”
Trump changed his profile picture on his account on his booming social media site, Truth Social, the only social media platform he uses.
Even the far-left New York Times, dubbed the “failing New York Times” by President Trump, admitted in an article that Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, has become “vibrant” and has “managed to outplace its rivals.”
“Experts say the app itself has only grown more influential in conservative circles ahead of the midterm election. Much of that is owed to former President Donald J. Trump, one of the app’s founders and its star, who now uses Truth Social as his primary megaphone to the world,” the article reads.
“His posts on the site reach more than four million followers and regularly reverberate across mainstream news and social media sites,” the article adds.
This comes after Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta announced on Wednesday afternoon they will be reinstating Trump “in the coming weeks” after being banned from their platforms for two years.
