Watch: 80-Year-Old Iowa Resident Doesn’t Hold Back When Asked: ‘What Issues Are Concerning You?’
An elderly woman interviewed by Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt stunned the “Fox and Friends” host when asked about the biggest issue that concerns her about the country and its upcoming presidential election, citing Joe Biden’s wife Jill as her biggest concern.
The woman, who identified herself as “Donna” and a resident of Urbandale, Iowa, was part of the crowd filling Urbandale’s Machine Shed restaurant Friday morning when Earhardt spoke to her, asking her about the things worrying her.
“What issues are concerning you?” Earhardt asked. “Is it the economy?”
Donna however, cited her own concern about the fact that Biden’s family, including his wife Jill, has been repeatedly putting him in front of people and have allowed him to become the laughingstock of the country.
Donna responded, “For me … One of the things that bothers me is, I’m five days younger than the president,” she said in a diner that had gone quiet to hear her answer. “I gimp, I walk with a gimp. I forget things once in a while.”
“But I feel that he has been put out before people. And being made fun of all the time. And I would like to think that my family would not do that to me,” she continued, adding, “And I feel that Jill Biden should be … feel very badly for what she’s doing.”
“Wow,” Earhardt responded, evidently not expecting the answer. However, Donna’s comments are notable, given that Joe Biden’s family has garnered significant wealth and prestige off the president’s time in office, both as president, and vice president under Obama.
As the New York Post reported in May, “Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) identified nine Biden family members known to have benefited: Hunter; first brother James Biden; his wife, Sara; first daughter-in-law Hallie Biden, the widow of Joe Biden’s son Beau; Hunter’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle; his current wife, Melissa Cohen; and ‘three children of the president’s son and the president’s brother.’”
Biden’s son Hunter is undoubtedly the best known of the group, sitting in the spotlight for his alleged connections to foreign entities, as well as the contents of his laptop, which were only released after Biden had won the presidency, despite knowledge of its existence for several months prior.
Both Joe and Hunter Biden face extreme scrutiny for their financial and business-related ties to Ukraine, Russia and China as well as other foreign entities.
Voters have also shown concern about Biden’s age, which has been fodder for critics, especially Republicans running in the 2024 primary.
“A lot of people are terrified that Joe Biden is in real trouble and that you can’t talk about it,” said CNN Commentator Van Jones on Friday. “Today, I think a lot of Democrats look at these [poll] numbers and say, the whispers are finally showing up in this data. People are talking behind their hand. They worry about Joe Biden.”
“Joe Biden’s like that grandpa that you love, that you believe in, you owe a lot, but you start to wonder, you know, would you give this grandpa a high-stress job for six more years, or would you want something else for him?” Jones continued. “That’s what’s being talked about. And people are scared to come out and say anything about it.”
