Mike Pence Ends His Presidential Hopes With Response To Trump Indictment – ‘After This Tweet, You, Mike, Will NEVER Be President’

Following an indictment of fellow Republican candidate Donald Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN) delivered a career-shattering opinion on the news. Pence claimed that “anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States,” referring to Trump and the various claims made by Special Counsel Jack Smith.

As previously covered by the DC Enquirer, Jack Smith alongside the Biden Justice Department have once again thrown an indictment at the former president, claiming that he played a part in the January 6th riot despite his acquittal by the Senate. The move has been widely seen as a blatant attack on the upcoming 2024 election as Trump is currently the dominating frontrunner against the mentally declining Biden.

Pence decided to weigh in with a thread of tweets on X, formerly Twitter, writing, “Today’s indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States.”

“I will have more to say about the government’s case after reviewing the indictment,” his next tweet read. “The former president is entitled to the presumption of innocence but with this indictment, his candidacy means more talk about January 6th and more distractions.”

In more follow-up tweets, Pence attempted to argue that Trump being taken out of the race is actually a positive as it allows for more attention to be “paid to Joe Biden’s disastrous economic policy” and “corruption with Hunter.”

“As your president, I will not yield an inch in defending America, our people, or our values, and I promise you: I will do so in a way consistent with my oath to the Constitution and the character and decency of the American people,” his final tweet read. “We will restore a threshold of integrity and civility in public life so we can bring real solutions to the challenges plaguing our nation.”

To top off the tweet made by the former vice president, a user on X shared a document from the indictment showing that some evidence likely came directly from Pence himself. The document discusses numerous times that Pence and Trump disagreed on the handling of January 6th which very likely was only known between the two of them and a few close aides.

It’s safe to say that the message from Pence was not taken well by conservatives on X, with numerous notable figures immediately tweeting out their disdain for the lackluster statement.

“Mike Pence is a POS,” Johnny Maga, a pro-Trump X account tweeted.

“So glad Tucker Carlson ended your career,” popular conservative personality Benny Johnson replied, referring to the recent interview with Carlson where Pence prioritized Ukraine over the American people.

“And after this tweet, you, Mike, will NEVER be President,” wrote Sebastion Gorka, the former Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States.

Pence has already been on thin ice but the response from him over the latest indictment has essentially doomed his Republican career. He frequently shows that he is not someone the party wants to bring alongside as they pursue a new outlook and is clearly dated in his political beliefs, drowning in The Swamp.
