Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson released the third installment of his new show Tucker on Twitter on Tuesday. He opened the show by announcing that the Biden administration had arrested Donald Trump earlier that day in Miami.
“The Biden administration arrested Donald Trump this afternoon,” Carlson began. “They had him arraigned and fingerprinted him in a Miami courthouse, like the accused felon he now is. These were the first steps in a process that is designed to put Donald Trump behind bars for the rest of his life.”
Carlson’s monologue went on to explain why “permanent Washington” has been focused on keeping former President Donald Trump out of office since February 16, 2016.
It was during the Republican candidates’ debate in which Trump dared to call out the federal government for destabilizing the Middle East and lying about weapons of mass destruction when “they knew there were none.”
Carlson said those words “sealed his fate.” People on both sides of the political aisle hated Trump “for exposing them.” He called out Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Mike Pompeo, and Sen. Lindsey Graham for their faux loyalty to Trump.
He said they described the former president as a “visionary genius up until the moment he lost power and then they unsheathed their real agenda — as always the neocon war agenda. And they piled on with maximum force.”
Look at how they treat the war in Ukraine. Carlson said they all care more about Ukraine’s borders, infrastructure, and future than they care about our own cities and towns. Why? Because war is a money-making machine for the neocons.
Carlson said:
Everyone in power thinks that, except for Donald Trump. Whatever else you say about him, Trump is the one guy with an actual shot of becoming president who dissents from Washington’s longstanding pointless war agenda.
And for that, that one fact, they are trying to take Trump out before you can vote for him. And that should upset you more than anything that’s happened in American politics in your lifetime.
Even if you don’t plan to vote for Donald Trump, even if you would die before voting for Donald Trump, which is your right, and a lot of people feel that way, even still the destruction of our democracy which is the right of voters to support any candidate they want — even candidates that don’t want war with Russia — the destruction of that should keep you up at night.
Yes, Donald Trump is a flawed man but his sins are minor compared to those of his persecutors. In this life, we don’t get to choose our martyrs. We can only choose our principles and America’s are at stake.
Wake up America! Permanent Washington is sending a message by using law enforcement to lock up the top political opponent of the current president: oppose our views and you will not be allowed to have power in this country.
If the only way to stop Trump is to throw him in jail, so be it! The country be damned!
