Famous American Fast Food Chain Customer Sues After Being Hospitalized By Their Burger

A lawsuit has been filed against the fast food chain Wendy’s by a customer who was hospitalized due to consuming a contaminated burger.

According to court documents obtained by McClatchy News, Jena Vogt, the customer, has reportedly experienced persistent health problems and incurred exorbitant medical expenses due to the preformed toxin present in her meal.

On July 27,  Jena Vogt purchased a medium double cheeseburger combo from a Wendy’s establishment in St. Rose, Louisiana. As per the plaintiff’s allegations, the burger was contaminated because of inadequate handwashing practices and the food was not appropriately cleaned, inspected, or verified for safety.

“Within (24) hours of consuming the Wendy’s double cheeseburger, Mrs. Vogt felt nauseous and began to have gastrointestinal abnormalities,” the lawsuit states.

As per the complaint, Vogt not only suffered from physical impairment and emotional distress but her husband Michael was also affected by the incident.

The couple is pursuing compensation exceeding $75,000.
