New Book Exposes Biden, Doesn’t Trust His Secret Service Detail

President Joe Biden reportedly has some pretty serious trust issues with his Secret Service protective detail according to the details revealed in a new book coming out Jan. 17. Biden’s biggest problem seems to be that some of the agents allegedly supported former President Donald Trump.

The concerns levied in the new book: Chris Whipple’s “The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House” range from the biting incidents of Biden’s dog Major, to the politicization of the Secret Service according to The Hill.

“A bigger problem was Biden’s discomfort with his Secret Service detail; some of them were MAGA sympathizers.” Whipple wrote, with The Hill citing an advance copy of the book. “He didn’t trust them.”

Biden’s newer detail is far larger than what he was accustomed to as Vice President under President Barack Obama. Troublingly, Biden’s chief concern seems to arise from a wariness that the Secret Service is composed of “white ex-cops from the South who tend to be deeply conservative.”

“Surrounded by a new phalanx of strangers, Biden couldn’t help but wonder, Do these people really want me here?” Whipple wrote.

The book insinuates that the elevation of former Secret Service Agent Tony Ornato to deputy White House Chief of Staff for Operations caused Biden additional concern given now-debunked testimony from Cassidy Hutchinson that alleged former President Trump had a physical altercation with agents in his Presidential SUV on January 6th and demanded to be taken to the capitol.

The situation was exacerbated by the salacious, ‘findings’ released by the “unselect committee,” as Trump referred to the illegitimate partisan exercise orchestrated by House Democrats.

According to Whipple, Biden expressed doubts regarding the incident involving his dog Major and Secret Service Agents. “Somebody was lying, Biden thought, about the way the incident had gone down,” Whipple wrote. Biden reportedly “wasn’t buying the details,” including where the bite even took place according to Whipple.

White House Correspondent for The Independent Andrew Feinberg reported that Biden’s trust in the Secret Service “is so frayed that he won’t speak freely when agents are within earshot.”
