On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump released a video on his social media site Truth Social to explain how he would counter attempts by the Chinese Communist government to buy land and threaten infrastructure within the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cChina is buying up our country,\u201d the 2024 presidential candidate began. \u201cWhile corrupt Democrats and RINO type politicians in Washington have been spending trillions of dollars on the green new deal nonsense, foolish foreign wars, and providing lavish benefits to illegal aliens all from over the planet, China has been spending trillions of dollars to take over the crown jewels of the United States economy. And they are doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cChina is buying up our technology, they are buying up food supplies, they are buying up our farmland, they are buying up our minerals and natural resources, they are buying up our ports and shipping terminals, and with the help of a corrupt influence peddlers like the Biden Crime Family, China is even trying to buy up the pillars of the US energy industry because frankly Biden and the group don\u2019t care about real energy,\u201d he explained. \u201cThey only care about nonsense energy. Energy that doesn\u2019t work and it never will.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile some focus on China\u2019s purchases near power plants and military bases, the fact is we should be very concerned about all Chinese Communist activity in the United States,\u201d Trump said likely in reference to a recent pledge by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) to ban the Chinese Communist Party from owning land nearby military bases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As previously reported by the\u00a0DC Enquirer<\/a>, the Florida governor stated earlier this month during a press conference that \u201cwhen they have interests that are opposed to ours and you see how they\u2019ve wielded their authority, especially with President Xi, who\u2019s taken a much more Marxist turn since he\u2019s been ruling China,\u201d the governor said, adding that it \u201cis not in the best interests of Florida to have the Chinese Communist Party owning farmland, owning land close to military bases.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump is likely drawing a contrast between himself and his likely rival for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLike I\u2019ve long said economic security is national security,\u201d Trump continued in his message posted to Truth Social. \u201cChina does not allow American companies to take over their critical infrastructure and America shouldn\u2019t allow China to take over our critical infrastructure. I didn\u2019t allow it when I was president and I won\u2019t allow it when we become president again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTo protect our country we need to enact aggressive new restrictions on Chinese ownership of any vital infrastructure in the United States including energy, technology, telecommunications, farmland, natural resources, medical supplies, and other strategic national assets,\u201d he explained, adding, \u201cWe should stop all future Chinese purchase of these essential industries and we should begin the process of forcing the Chinese to sell any current holdings that put our national security at risk.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf we don\u2019t do this, the United States would be owned by China which would make them very happy. When I\u2019m president, I will ensure that America\u2019s future remains firmly in Americans hands just as I did when I was president before,\u201d the former president said in conclusion. \u201cIt will happen again and our country will be stronger than ever. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With President Trump\u2019s latest video outlining important policies that he will implement upon taking office, he is a step ahead of any potential competition in the presidential race. He clearly has a vision for his second term in office and Americans everywhere are hoping to see what he announces next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
