{"id":622,"date":"2023-01-23T11:37:48","date_gmt":"2023-01-23T16:37:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=622"},"modified":"2023-01-23T11:37:48","modified_gmt":"2023-01-23T16:37:48","slug":"nothing-has-changed-for-biden-regarding-2024-the-hill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=622","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Nothing has changed\u2019 for Biden regarding 2024 \u2013 The Hill"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>US President Joe Biden remains eager to seek re-election in 2024 despite the scandal over his mishandling of classified papers, with an announcement to be made in the coming weeks, sources have told The Hill.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A person familiar with the planning around Biden\u2019s second campaign for office told the outlet on Wednesday that&nbsp;<em>\u201cit\u2019s still very much in the works and nothing has changed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cMultiple sources\u201d<\/em>\u00a0said the 80-year-old intends to signal his intention to run for election again next year after the State of the Union address on February 7, with a more formal announcement to be made\u00a0<em>\u201ccloser to the spring,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0The Hill reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In December, a CNBC All-America Economic Survey revealed that 70% of Americans didn\u2019t want Biden to run again, mainly due to his age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ongoing controversy over the mishandling of classified documents<em>&nbsp;\u201chas done nothing\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;to change those plans, despite sources telling the outlet that Democrats are concerned the scandal could be damaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several batches of documents, some marked&nbsp;<em>\u201ctop secret,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;from Biden\u2019s two terms as vice president between 2009 and 2017 were found at his office at the Penn Biden Center, a Washington think tank, and at his Delaware home, including in the garage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.infowarsstore.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Take part in the ultimate win-win deals on the web by checking out our store now!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discoveries were made in November and January, but were only acknowledged by the White House earlier this month. A special counsel was appointed last week to look into the mishandling of the documents by the president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One strategist told The Hill that&nbsp;<em>\u201cit\u2019s the kind of thing that can consume a lot of oxygen.
