Jamie Raskin pulled a similar stunt, repeatedly dodging a simple question about Harris from CNN\u2019s Jake Tapper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDo you think Vice President Kamala Harris is the best running mate for President Biden? And what do you make of Speaker Pelosi\u2019s answer there?\u201d Tapper asked him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI mean, there didn\u2019t seem to be anything wrong with that answer,\u201d Raskin initially responded, defending Pelosi\u2019s otherwise uber-viral comments, before trying to change the subject of the discussion to the ongoing government shutdown battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCongressman, you are doing what Speaker Pelosi did, which is not answering the question. Do you think Kamala Harris is the best running mate for President Biden?\u201d Tapper, to his credit, then pushed back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raskin replied this time by suggesting the question is irrelevant since the VP decision is \u201cPresident Joe Biden\u2019s choice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think she\u2019s an excellent running mate for President Biden. \u2026 [T]here\u2019s a very strong policy record to run on there. Do you think Kamala Harris is the best running mate for President Biden? You have said she\u2019s excellent. That\u2019s further than Speaker Pelosi went, but \u2026 Do you think Kamala Harris is the best running mate for President Biden, yes or no?\u201d&nbsp; Tapper asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raskin repeated the previous answer about Harris being an \u201cexcellent running mate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI mean, I don\u2019t know what else I can say, other than she would be an excellent running mate and an excellent vice president,\u201d&nbsp; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou say, I don\u2019t know what I can say. The answer is, you could say yes. You could say, yes, I think Kamala Harris is the best vice president and the best running mate for President Biden. That\u2019s the answer you could be giving right now. Yes, she is,\u201d Tapper replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or he could have said no \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How did Raskin respond this time? By suggesting Tapper could be the president\u2019s VP choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have not seen any public opinion polling. You might be a stronger vice presidential running mate than her or me or anybody else. I don\u2019t know who else, if you\u2019re talking about the polling. But I will tell you, as a matter of substance and public policy, she\u2019d be an excellent choice. Late Thursday on Fox News\u2019 \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/shows\/jesse-watters-primetime\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jesse Watters Primetime<\/a>,\u201d he argued that the entire Democrat Party appears to be lost vis-a-vis Harris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conversely, he said, the Republican Party is increasingly united around former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never seen the Democratic media Matrix so out of touch with their own base and I\u2019ve never seen their messaging machines so discombobulated. When was the last time Sunny, Whoopi, Hillary, and Nancy all disagreed?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reference to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may have concerned what she said in January when she reportedly privately said that Harris lacks the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizpacreview.com\/2023\/02\/07\/kamala-harris-savaged-in-nyt-hit-piece-that-includes-hillary-clintons-opinion-of-her-1330836\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">political instincts<\/a>\u201d for the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPalpable doubt is emanating from every pore of the left. Joe Biden is only useful as a Trump blockade. He doesn\u2019t have to be able to talk or walk as long as [when] Trump turns the doorknob to the White House, Joe Biden keeps it locked,\u201d Watters continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut that lock is looking faulty. Brand new Fox News poll out: Trump\u2019s beating Biden by two, 48-46.
