Exceptions include for licensed security guards and law enforcement officers. Citizens with permits to carry firearms are free to possess their weapons on private property (such as at a gun range or gun store), provided they transport the firearm in a locked box, use a trigger lock, or some other mechanism that renders the gun incapable of being fired,\u201d according to the<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.state.nm.us\/2023\/09\/08\/governor-announces-statewide-enforcement-plan-for-gun-violence-fentanyl-reduction-plan-includes-30-day-suspension-of-concealed-open-carry-in-albuquerque-and-bernalillo-county\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0press release.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Virtually no one is backing Grisham after she unilaterally suspended the Second Amendment in Albuquerque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visibly armed gun owners openly defied Grisham and rallied in Old Town, Albuquerque on Sunday shouting, \u201cWe will not comply!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%20370%20247'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/0-1311.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"zeen-lazy-load-base zeen-lazy-load wp-image-1013637\"\/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/0-1311.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1013637\"\/><\/noscript><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone is turning against Grisham \u2013 including her own Attorney General \u2013 a fellow Democrat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Mexico\u2019s Democrat Attorney General Raul Torrez on Tuesday&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2023\/09\/huge-new-mexicos-attorney-general-announces-he-will\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">informed&nbsp;<\/a>Grisham he will not be defending her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am writing to inform you that my office will not defend your administration in the above referenced cases challenging the Public Health Emergency Order Imposing Temporary Firearm Restrictions, Drug Monitoring and Other Public Safety Measures (the Emergency Order) issued by the Secretary of Health on September 8, 2023,\u201d Raul Torrez wrote in a 4-page letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThough I recognize my statutory obligation as New Mexico\u2019s chief legal officer to defend state officials when they are sued in their official capacity, my duty to uphold and defend the constitutional rights of every citizen takes precedence.
