{"id":5413,"date":"2023-09-08T13:55:59","date_gmt":"2023-09-08T18:55:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=5413"},"modified":"2023-09-08T13:55:59","modified_gmt":"2023-09-08T18:55:59","slug":"wisconsin-teacher-convicted-on-25-counts-for-repeated-sexual-assault-of-14-year-old-student","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=5413","title":{"rendered":"Wisconsin Teacher Convicted On 25 Counts For Repeated Sexual Assault Of 14-Year-Old Student"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tomah, WI \u2013 A 74-year-old woman has been convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old male student while she was working as a teacher at a private school in Wisconsin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Monroe County Jury convicted Anne Nelson-Koch on all 25 charges against her on July 31 after a three-day trial, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/madison.com\/news\/state-regional\/crime-courts\/sexual-assault-teacher-student-tomah-jury-conviction\/article_c28f65ec-3059-11ee-b765-7f55a2c34e6e.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wisconsin State Journal<\/a>&nbsp;reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nelson-Koch was 67 years old when she repeatedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy in the basement of a private school, Tomah Baptist Academy, during the 2016-2017 academic year, according to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.insideedition.com\/wisconsin-teacher-sexual-assault-student-jail\" target=\"_blank\">Inside Edition<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monroe County District Attorney Kevin Croninger said the jury convicted the now-former teacher on all 25 counts after approximately five hours of deliberation, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was charged with 12 counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, eight counts of exposing intimate parts to a child, four counts of child enticement sexual conduct, and one count of intimidating a victim, according to Inside Edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nelson-Koch faces up to 600 years in prison when she is sentenced on Oct. 27,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/74-year-old-female-teacher-faces-600-years-behind-bars-sex-assault-teen?dicbo=v2-toD0eK4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FOX News<\/a>&nbsp;reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monroe County Assistant District Attorney Sarah Skiles praised the now-20-year-old victim for his role in helping bring his abuser to justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe victim of these crimes is an incredibly brave young man,\u201d Skiles said in a statement to the Wisconsin State Journal. \u201cHe spoke the truth, and the jury heard him loud and clear.
