Prior to the show, Seder and Vigeland criticized Singal\u2019s position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singal began his comments with an attempt to take the high road\u2014noting that though they disagree on whether or not gender transition procedures should be available to minors, there were likely many discussion points on which they could agree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seder responded with vitriol: \u201cJesse, I just want to make something clear. I don\u2019t care where we agree on. That is, I can\u2019t tell you how irrelevant it is to me what we agree on, whether it is the context of trans stuff, whether it is in the context of any other politics.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seder added: \u201cThe reason why I think you are toxic and, at best, extremely unhelpful in this area is that you distort the importance of this issue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seder then accused Singal of being a tool of Republican politicians to deny trans people their rights, and that his work and statements were being used \u201cto attack trans people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vigeland interjected that Singal rejected the \u201coverwhelming data\u201d that shows sex change treatments for children \u201cis effective and helps reduce suicidal ideation.\u201d&nbsp;Vigeland did not cite his source to substantiate his comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seeing this, Singal replied: \u201cOh, but what you said isn\u2019t true. There isn\u2019t overwhelming evidence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unable to provide evidence, Vigeland asked Singal if he was familiar with the Journal of Pediatrics\u2019 research on transgender procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surprising Vigland and Seder, Singal replied that he had and that he had written two pieces&nbsp; noting flaws in their reporting, including that \u201cnone of the children in the study they cited were diagnosed with gender dysphoria.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pressing Singal for a direct Yes or No on the matter, Vigeland asked Singal if he believed gender transition procedures were appropriate and effective on children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singal replied, \u201cNo\u2026I am with the five European countries who have looked into this question closely and all of them are like \u2018We don\u2019t know yet, we need more data.\u2019 So no, it\u2019s not established.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<script>!function(r,u,m,b,l,e){r._Rumble=b,r[b]||(r[b]=function(){(r[b]._=r[b]._||[]).push(arguments);if(r[b]._.length==1){l=u.createElement(m),e=u.getElementsByTagName(m)[0],l.async=1,l.src=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/embedJS\/u4\"+(arguments[1].video?'.'+arguments[1].video:'')+\"\/?url=\"+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+\"&args=\"+encodeURIComponent(JSON.stringify([].slice.apply(arguments))),e.parentNode.insertBefore(l,e)}})}(window, document, \"script\", \"Rumble\");<\/script>\n\n<div id=\"rumble_v3cs9qo\"><\/div>\n<script>\nRumble(\"play\", {\"video\":\"v3cs9qo\",\"div\":\"rumble_v3cs9qo\"});<\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>Attempting to trap Singal by linking gender transition procedures to \u201cestablish standards of care\u201d for children, Vigeland asked: \u201c[Do you believe the] established standards of care\u201d guidelines in America are effective for children, and if so, should they be applied to trans-identifying youth?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singal replied: \u201cThe standards of care say that kids should get like one to two years of therapy before they transition,\u201d Singal said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The heated conversation touched on recent whistleblowers who claimed medical centers such as Washington University Transgender Center and Boston Medical Center were conducting radical transgender reassignment surgeries on pre-teens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vigeland denied the reports, though the accusations were\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2023\/08\/24\/new-york-times-reed-st-louis-hospital-trans-clinic\/\" target=\"_blank\">confirmed<\/a>\u00a0by The New York Times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The whistleblower, Jamie Reed, identifies as a \u201cqueer woman\u201d who is \u201cpolitically left of Bernie Sanders.\u201d &nbsp;In her February&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefp.com\/p\/i-thought-i-was-saving-trans-kids?utm_source=substack&amp;publication_id=260347&amp;post_id=101682797&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_content=share&amp;action=share&amp;triggerShare=true&amp;isFreemail=false\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a>, she said: \u201cGiven the secrecy and lack of rigorous standards that characterize youth gender transition across the country, I believe that to ensure the safety of American children, we need a moratorium on the hormonal and surgical treatment of young people with gender dysphoria,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vigeland then moved to cut the interview short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve got to run, but people can look this up,\u201d Vigeland said. \u201cThere have been lies over and over proven that she has put out there, which you took at face value.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singal invited Vigeland and Seder to his podcast but they declined his offer. claiming Singal was not acting \u201cin good faith.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re backing out; it\u2019s unfortunate,\u201d Singal quipped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Original Article: <a href=\"https:\/\/resistthemainstream.com\/watch-liberal-hosts-erupt-on-journalist-during-testy-discussion-on-trans-procedures-for-kids\/#google_vignette\">https:\/\/resistthemainstream.com\/watch-liberal-hosts-erupt-on-journalist-during-testy-discussion-on-trans-procedures-for-kids\/#google_vignette<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wednesday\u2019s broadcast of \u201cThe Majority Report\u201d podcast included a heated exchange between podcaster Jesse Singal and two liberal hosts.
