Never in modern history has an impeachment been based on no evidence whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All of this comes at a time when many polls show that the American voters want an alternative choice for the White House in the coming election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), said that the impeachment inquiry into Biden is a \u201cnatural step forward\u201d and that it could possibly happen towards the end of September without a full House vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A source familiar with the situation said that White House aides spent all of the August recess researching GOP statements and fine-tuning a message as well as a response team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Republicans plan to focus their inquiry on Hunter Biden\u2019s alleged criminal activity with his foreign business dealings as well as claims that Joe Biden engaged in bribery, corruption or otherwise abused his power to help his son, all while sitting as a vice president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They also plan to argue that the two federal investigations into Donald Trump are completely politically-motivated. McCarthy insists that there is a \u201cculture of corruption\u201d that has been happening \u201cwithin the entire Biden family.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf you look at all the information we\u2019ve been able to father so far,&#8221; McCarthy said, &#8220;it is a natural step forward that you would have to go on an impeachment inquiry. That provides Congress the apex of legal power to get all the information they need.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/mccarthy-says-biden-impeachment-inquiry-need-house-vote-departure-pelosi-democrats\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fox News Monday morning<\/a>, Republican Rep. Mike Johnson of Louisiana, laid out the case for impeachment, saying, \u201cArticle two, Section four says that treason, bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And on Capitol Hill, a lot of people debate and quibble about what high crimes and misdemeanors are. But we know what bribery is. It\u2019s someone paying you to do their bidding.
