Former President Trump<\/a> offered unsolicited advice to GOP rival Vivek Ramaswamy, who has garnered a lot of attention in recent weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Appearing on Glenn Beck\u2019s show Tuesday, Trump was asked whether he\u2019s considering a \u201cVice President Ramaswamy\u201d as he was watching the first Republican presidential debate last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWell, I think he\u2019s great. Look, anybody that said, I\u2019m the best president in a generation. I don\u2019t know, you have to define generation. That\u2019s a long time,\u201d Trump quipped. \u201cHe said it a couple of times. And he said it in 100 years. So I have to like a guy like that. You know, I can\u2019t get upset with him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Trump hailed Ramaswamy as being a \u201csmart,\u201d \u201cyoung guy\u201d and a \u201cvery intelligent person\u201d who has \u201ca lot of talent\u201d and \u201cgood energy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHe could be some form of something, I\u2019d tell you. I think he\u2019d be very good. I think he\u2019s very good. I think he\u2019s really distinguished himself,\u201d Trump said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n The GOP frontrunner went on to warn the political newcomer that he was becoming \u201ca little bit controversial.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHe\u2019s starting to get out there a little bit. He\u2019s a little bit \u2014 getting a little bit controversial. I\u2019d tell him be a little bit careful. Some things you have to hold in just a little bit, right?\u201d Trump said before adding \u201cBut he\u2019s got a lot of good energy, and he\u2019s been very nice to me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ramaswamy spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital, \u201cIf I\u2019m a betting woman, I wouldn\u2019t expect Vivek to hold back much!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The entrepreneur-turned-2024 GOP hopeful has repeatedly said he has zero interest in becoming Trump\u2019s running mate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The former president maintains a dominant lead in the GOP primary race, holding a 40-point advantage over the rest of the field according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls. Ramaswamy has seen his polling go up in recent weeks, averaging in third place behind Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Trump is certainly no stranger to controversy as he was hit with four indictment this year, the first from New York over hush money payments that were made to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election, two federal indictments over his handling of classified documents and his actions leading up to Jan. 6, and more recently from Georgia\u2019s Fulton County over his attempt to reverse the state\u2019s 2020 election victory for President Biden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Last week, Trump got his mugshot taken as part of the Georgia indictment, which has fueled a huge spike in\u00a0campaign fundraising exceeding $20 million<\/a>\u00a0for the month of August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n
