And she is demanding trial in March 2024, the “day before Super Tuesday.”

One count, the letter explains, has Willis seeking “to criminalize under Georgia law the White House chief of staff arranging meetings and phone calls for the president.”

“There are also aspects of the indictment that give rise to questions about whether your office is seeking to criminalize under Georgia law certain speech of federal officers, including the president, that is protected by the First Amendment.”

Moreover, “To the extent that presidents fear that they may be subject to politically motivated prosecutions after they leave office, this could impact the policies they choose to pursue while in office. And because this former president is a current candidate for that office, the indictment implicates another core federal interest: a presidential election.”

Also, “there are questions about whether and how your offices coordinated with DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith,” the letter warned.

The House committee then instructs Willis to provide “all documents and communications referring or relating to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Offices’ receipt and use of federal funds,” “all documents and communications” with the DOJ or Smith, or referring to the Trump investigation, and all communications between her office and “any federal executive branch officials.”

She was given a deadline of Sept. 7 to satisfy the congressional demands.

The Federalist report noted, “Included in the bogus 98-page indictment are several acts Willis contends contributed to the ‘furtherance’ of the so-called conspiracy, such as tweets issued by Trump encouraging people to watch Georgia legislative oversight hearings on TV and a text message asking for phone numbers sent by former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.”

The report also explained it was forewoman Emily Kohrs who “openly bragged during interviews with regime-approved media ‘about her excitement at the prospect of subpoenaing President Trump and getting to swear him in.’”

The GOP says the Congress has authority for the review because of “Willis’ alleged attempt to ‘use state criminal law to regulate the conduct of federal officers acting in their official capacities,’ such as that of Trump and Meadows.”

Original Article: https://conservativefiringline.com/gop-investigating-fani-willis-over-politically-motivated-prosecutions/

Members of the Republican Party in Congress have notified Fani Willis, the leftist Georgia prosecutor who unleashed a multiple-count indictment against nearly 20 people who allegedly conspired with President Trump during the 2020 election by making “phone calls” and such that they want answers about her agenda.
