Only 600 VHRs are allowed to be registered in Douglas County, with each VHR property defined as a property that can be rented for 28 days or less.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After submitting an inquiry with the county\u2019s VHR board, Program Manager and Head of Code Enforcement Ernie Strehlow noted, \u201cSeveral inquiries have been received on this address. We cannot comment further as we are actively investigating any Douglas County Nevada code violations on this rental.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 46th president is currently vacationing at Steyer\u2019s luxurious property with First Lady Jill Biden and Hunter Biden, along with other family members,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/08\/19\/bidens-vacation-at-billionaire-tom-steyers-18m-lake-tahoe-mansion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to<\/a>&nbsp;the New York Post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding the president\u2019s vacation in Lake Tahoe, the White House reportedly stated, \u201cThe First Family is renting the home for fair market value.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After spending the weekend in Lake Tahoe, Joe Biden visited Maui Monday after receiving backlash for refusing to comment on the situation last week.
