Celebrating the milestone, California Democrat Maxine Waters claims that Hip Hop is an international culture-shaping force with a growing role in politics. \u201cWhen I was elected to Congress in 1991, many politicians, including Black politicians, were either distancing themselves from Hip Hop artists altogether or trying to censor rap music,\u201d the lawmaker says in the tribute statement issued this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But appointing U.S. Attorney Weiss as special counsel, a man who tried to unethically slide Hunter\u2019s corrupt plea deal past a federal judge, is a sick joke. In fact, Mr. Weiss should be under investigation for his dishonest statements to Congress and his compromised, sweetheart plea deal for Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Judicial Watch announced recently that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) for records of the Archives\u2019 role in President Trump\u2019s White House records controversy; whether it offered Trump a secure storage location other than the National Archives; and if the Archives consulted with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence regarding the classification or declassification procedures of any of the alleged classified documents found at Trump\u2019s Florida residence<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IN THE NEWS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>American Family News<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AFN talked with Tom Fitton, president of\u00a0Judicial Watch, a public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption. Fitton says the prosecutors\u2019 objective is quite clear. \u201cThe goal is to interfere with the election, as the Biden regime is seeking to put him on trial literally as the primary season begins,\u201d he offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Daily Signal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recourse to Garland\u2019s appointment of Weiss as special counsel will have to be political, said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, a government watchdog group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCongress should and can demand a more independent special counsel,\u201d Fitton told The Daily Signal. \u201cWeiss should be a subject of a special counsel investigation. There is a string of evidence of corruption, obstruction of justice, and fraud on the courts by the Justice Department regarding the Hunter Biden probe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Washington Times<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tom Fitton, president of the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, was called to testify before the grand jury that indicted Mr.&nbsp;Trump&nbsp;over his post-election actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Fitton, who consulted with Mr.\u00a0Trump\u00a0following the election, said he testified to the grand jury about his concerns in 2020 when it was reported that a group of top government officials, including Democrat John Podesta, participated in a project called the Transition Integrity Project.
