The FBI agent reportedly retired after more than 20 years of service with the agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agent\u2019s testimony drew attention to the internal decision-making surrounding the investigation, raising allegations of potential bias and political interference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whistleblowers allegate prosecutorial decisions made throughout the Hunter Biden investigation led by U.S. Attorney David Weiss,&nbsp;were influenced by politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley previously testified the Biden transition team and Secret Service were \u201ctipped off\u201d about a planned interview of Hunter Biden. The FBI agent\u2019s testimony corroborates Shapley\u2019s allegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day before Hunter\u2019s interview was scheduled, the FBI agent was allegedly informed they were prohibited from going near Hunter Biden\u2019s residence and forced to share essential contact details with the Secret Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attorney General Merrick Garland Friday appointed Weiss as special counsel to look into the investigation of Hunter Biden and any other matters that may arise during his probe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Oversight Committee has no confidence in U.S. Attorney Weiss as Special Counsel given his inability to prevent the Biden transition team from being contacted, and federal agents were not permitted to interview Hunter Biden as planned,\u201d Rep.
