{"id":4790,"date":"2023-08-07T15:28:41","date_gmt":"2023-08-07T20:28:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=4790"},"modified":"2023-08-07T15:28:42","modified_gmt":"2023-08-07T20:28:42","slug":"beau-bidens-death-is-joes-excuse-for-calls-with-hunter-business-partners-really","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=4790","title":{"rendered":"BEAU BIDEN\u2019S DEATH IS JOE\u2019S EXCUSE FOR CALLS WITH HUNTER BUSINESS PARTNERS.\u00a0 REALLY?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%20772%20561'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-32.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"zeen-lazy-load-base zeen-lazy-load wp-image-4791\" width=\"772\" height=\"561\"\/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-32.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4791\" width=\"772\" height=\"561\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-32.png 750w, https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-32-300x218.png 300w, https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-32-293x213.png 293w, https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-32-390x283.png 390w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 772px) 100vw, 772px\" \/><\/noscript><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I suppose if a person has spent more than 50 of their 80 years on earth as a politician \u2013 essentially an entire adult lifetime \u2013 you might understand why they look at everything in their life through a political lens.\u00a0 President Biden has been a Washington establishmentarian since he was 30 years old \u2013 and before that he was a local political officeholder.\u00a0 The man seems incapable of thinking outside the political box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We saw that with Biden\u2019s dealing with their seventh grandchild \u2013 Hunter\u2019s love child.\u00a0 Now we see it with Biden using his deceased son as a strained explanation for those calls with Hunter Biden\u2019s business associates.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the latest spin from the White House, some of those calls were made at a time when Joe and Hunter were dealing with the death of Beau Biden from a brain cancer.\u00a0 They were merely keeping in touch and comforting each other during that tragic period.\u00a0 Any father or brother can sympathize with their loss.\u00a0 But to use that tragedy for political spin is shameless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The White House defense argument was used by Congressman Daniel Goldman during recent media appearances.\u00a0 You may remember him as the lead House prosecutor in the first Trump impeachment hearing.\u00a0 In terms of the Hunter Biden cases, he has put on the hat of the defense attorney. \u00a0 In his defense brief, Goldman made two arguments that are offenses to logic and intelligence \u2013 and probably to the experience of millions of Americans who have dealt with the deaths of loved ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first was the claims that all those calls from Hunter while he was engaged with business partners and associates were just a father and son keeping in touch over the grief of their loss.&nbsp; That is an utterly absurd assertion.&nbsp; If Hunter wanted to commiserate with his father over the death of his brother \u2013 see how the old man is coping \u2013 the last occasion when one would make those calls is during a business discussion with millions of dollars on the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Goldman even refutes his own spin by saying that Papa Joe only \u201cexchanged niceties\u201d and talked about the weather.\u00a0 What?\u00a0 No conciliatory talk?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Goldman contended that Biden was not a participant in the business discussions.&nbsp; Most likely that is a lie.&nbsp; But even if you believed he only said \u201cHi\u201d to Hunter\u2019s business associates, he was still a key factor in the deal making.&nbsp; On many occasions, Hunter made his father part of the deal by invoking his name and claiming to represent the will and interests of his father.&nbsp; He even claimed his father was sitting with him during several communications.&nbsp; Whether Papa Biden was really there in person is yet to be proven.&nbsp; Regardless, Hunter was peddling his influence with his father \u2013 and the father was being very cooperative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We do know, however, that Biden lied when he said he had no knowledge of his son\u2019s business dealings.\u00a0 We now know of several meetings in the White House with Hunter\u2019s business partners and target \u201cclients\u201d \u2013 and golf outings.\u00a0 You do not get a meeting with the President of the United States without stating a purpose.\u00a0 Biden, himself, would inquire of his son as to why he was bringing folks to meet with him \u2013 golf with him.\u00a0 Who are these people?\u00a0 What do they want to talk about?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And now we have at least 20 phone conversations in which Biden talked directly to Hunter\u2019s business associates during business meetings.\u00a0 Goldman claims that no business was discussed with or by Biden, but Biden still played a role in establishing Hunter\u2019s influence.\u00a0 Biden\u2019s willingness to take or make those calls at that precise moment was a deal closer.\u00a0 It was signally.\u00a0 Goldman most surely knows that.\u00a0 But he is not running to the media on Biden\u2019s account to tell the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(When I lived under the corrupt Democrat Machine in Chicago, there was a way of influencing outcomes.\u00a0 In political court cases, a powerful member of the Machine would casually walk into court as if accidentally. He would \u201crecognize\u201d the defendant as an \u201cold pal\u201d \u2026 wish the judge a good day \u2026 and depart.\u00a0 He would never say a word about the case.\u00a0 Just his connection to the defendant.\u00a0 That was enough for the case to be dismissed or the defendant to get a not guilty verdict.\u00a0 Southern Democrat politicians used that same technique to get white defendants acquittals of murdering black people.\u00a0 \u00a0 Conversely, it is often how Mafia dons condemned a person to death.\u00a0 Never with specific words.\u00a0 Just a signal.\u00a0 It is often known as maintaining the boss\u2019 \u201cdeniability.\u201d\u00a0 But I digress.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Goldman tried another ruse.\u00a0 He noted that some of the phone conversations were during dinner meetings \u2013 implying that business is not done over dinner.\u00a0 Come on, man \u2026 how far do you think you can stretch credulity.\u00a0 Dinners are a common component of business dealings \u2013 as are golf outings.\u00a0 Duh!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hunter\u2019s former business partner, Devon Archer, has testified before Congress in a closed session.\u00a0 He is reported to have confirmed Papa Biden\u2019s participation in his son\u2019s business dealings \u2013 especially those 20 phone calls.\u00a0 Goldman, on the other hand, says that there is not one scintilla of evidence that Biden was involved in any business discussions \u2026 or profited from Hunter\u2019s business dealing \u2026 or had any knowledge of other family members profiting.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a lawyer \u2013 a former prosecutor \u2013 Goldman knows that testimony IS evidence. And there is a lot of other circumstantial and hard evidence seeming to tie the senior Biden to his son\u2019s business dealings.\u00a0 Biden had to know some of the arrangements.\u00a0 He had to know about all that money being doled out to Biden family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some things have not yet been proven.\u00a0 Did Joe get a cut of the money?\u00a0 Was he the \u201cbig guy\u201d in for 10 percent?\u00a0 Were his official actions being influenced by his influence peddling son \u2013 such as forcing out the prosecutor investigating Hunter and the Ukrainian energy company he worked for?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the current White House narrative, Goldman, Biden, Democrat leaders and the left-leaning media are pushing back against even investigating the accusations and initial evidence.\u00a0 However, the Democrats\u2019 nothing-to-see-here defense seems to be more of a desperation tactic.\u00a0 They fear \u2013 maybe even believe \u2013 that there is a smoking gun out there.\u00a0 Maybe even an armory full of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hunter issues are enough to determine just how political the Department of Justice is under Attorney General Merrick Garland.&nbsp; Is this just another example of an Attorney General bending to the Whtie House spin \u2026 narrative \u2026 excuse? &nbsp; Protecting the man who gave you the job?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They say the AG and the DOJ are independent and not political.\u00a0 Balderdash!\u00a0 We have seen this movie before.\u00a0 You only need to recall John Mitchell (Nixon Watergate coverup), Eric Holder (Obama\u2019s \u201cFast and Furious\u201d fiasco), William Barr (Trump on obstruction of justice) and others.\u00a0 Mitchell went to jail and Holder even got an unprecedented Contempt of Congress citation for his cover-up of \u201cFast and Furious.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is enough there there to justify a much broader investigation.&nbsp; There is enough there there to justify a special counsel.&nbsp; There is enough there there to justify an impeachment inquiry \u2014 which is NOT an impeachment hearing, but a preliminary hearing to secure and review evidence to ascertain if an impeachment hearing would be justified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is my personal opinion \u2013 based on what we know already \u2013 that Hunter Biden was the middleman in a longstanding and evolving scheme to peddle influence and shakedown foreign businesses and governments.&nbsp; It resulted in the unearned enrichment of the greater Biden family \u2013 and potentially the President.&nbsp; There is a lot we do not yet know.&nbsp; But there are more than enough questions that need to be answered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if you are inclined to believe Hunter and Papa Biden are innocent despite the accusations, allegations, the witness testimony, and all those emails and text messages, there should be no disagreement that investigations are needed to settle the issues. &nbsp; The fact that the Bidens and Democrats are apoplectic over the mere idea of investigations is all that we need to know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, there \u2018tis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Author Comment:\u00a0 Since the writing of the commentary, it has been learned that Congressman Dan Goldman lied when he said that Devon Archer confirmed that President Biden did not know who was on the speakerphone calls from Hunter.\u00a0 That is incredulous on the surface.\u00a0 We are to believe that the President goes on speakerphone without any idea who is in on the conversation.\u00a0 Now that the actual testimony has been revealed, we learn that Archer said the opposite.\u00a0 Papa Biden knew who was with his son on several calls.\u00a0 Goldman pulled an Adam Schiff.\u00a0 He lied about what he thought would be secret testimony \u2013 and got caught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Original Article:<a href=\"https:\/\/punchingbagpost.com\/beau-bidens-death-is-joes-excuse-for-calls-with-hunter-business-partners-really\/\">https:\/\/punchingbagpost.com\/beau-bidens-death-is-joes-excuse-for-calls-with-hunter-business-partners-really\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I suppose if a person has spent more than 50 of their 80 years on earth as a politician \u2013 essentially an entire adult lifetime \u2013 you might understand why they look at everything in their life through a political lens.\u00a0 President Biden has been a Washington establishmentarian since he was 30 years old \u2013 and before that he was a local political officeholder.\u00a0 The man seems incapable of thinking outside the political box.
