{"id":4349,"date":"2023-07-14T12:50:16","date_gmt":"2023-07-14T17:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=4349"},"modified":"2023-07-14T12:50:16","modified_gmt":"2023-07-14T17:50:16","slug":"biden-propaganda-on-jobs-created-gets-fact-checked-by-twitter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=4349","title":{"rendered":"Biden Propaganda on Jobs \u2018Created\u2019 Gets Fact-Checked by Twitter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President Biden\u2019s consistent misleading claims on the number of jobs he\u2019s \u201ccreated\u201d during his time in office finally caught up to him, earning a fact-checking \u2018Community Note\u2019 on Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The official Twitter feed of the White House shared press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre\u2019s post in which she attempted to describe \u201cBidenomics.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFor all of you wondering \u2018What is Bidenomics?&#8217;\u201d she wrote. \u201c13.2 million jobs created.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cUnemployment has remained below 4% for the longest stretch since the 1960s.&nbsp;Inflation cut in half.&nbsp;Almost 800k manufacturing jobs created,\u201d she continued. \u201cThere\u2019s your answer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The White House account retweeted Jean-Pierre and added, \u201cIt\u2019s that easy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Except, it isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It\u2019s that easy. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4QwNgXmWbh\">https:\/\/t.co\/4QwNgXmWbh<\/a><\/p>&mdash; The White House (@WhiteHouse) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WhiteHouse\/status\/1679249276583518208?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 12, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Biden Hasn\u2019t Created 13 Million Jobs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Political Insider has&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thepoliticalinsider.com\/watch-biden-repeatedly-heckled-during-state-of-the-union-speech-argues-with-republicans-in-wild-display\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">consistently reminded readers<\/a>&nbsp;that the \u2018jobs created\u2019 swirl that is coming from the Biden administration is a pathetic spin on reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be clear, jobs have been created during Biden\u2019s time in office, but not nearly at the level or rate his people are suggesting. A vast majority of what they\u2019re counting are job&nbsp;<em>replacements<\/em>&nbsp;following losses during the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Community Notes followed that lead and slapped the jobs tweet with a reality check, stating, \u201cIt is misleading to count people returning to work, after the pandemic, as new jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, everybody knows that, but this White House thinks you\u2019re too stupid to understand basic numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Becker News CEO and former producer at Fox News, Kyle Becker, had a bit of a laugh at the Democrat President finally being held accountable on at least one social media platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTwitter has become the place where state propaganda goes to die,\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Twitter has become the place where state propaganda goes to die. Kudos <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ElonMusk<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4DdtxeCkum\">pic.twitter.com\/4DdtxeCkum<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Kyle Becker (@kylenabecker) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kylenabecker\/status\/1679283193462026241?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 13, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Community Notes fact-check pointed readers to a House Budget Committee report that explains: \u201cNearly 72 percent of all job gains since 2021 were simply jobs that were being recovered from the pandemic, not new job creation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, that report points out that Biden\u2019s numbers are in all actuality a poor performance when compared to former President Donald Trump at the same point in his presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn fact, when looking at today\u2019s economy compared to pre-pandemic levels, employment is up only by 3.7 million,\u201d the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/budget.house.gov\/press-release\/fact-check-biden-misleads-on-job-creation-statistics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report states<\/a>. \u201cOn the other hand, prior to the pandemic, job creation under President Trump was 6.7 million \u2014 3 million more jobs than the current President.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spin is so blatant \u2013 they want you to forget that a pandemic and Democrat lockdowns wiped out jobs during the Trump presidency and ignore the fact that Biden is simply restocking the shelves when it comes to jobs \u2018created.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019d also be interesting to explore how many of these jobs are people working a second or third effort to help navigate their families through the inflation spike that hounded Americans for a vast majority of the past year, to simply afford outrageous gas and grocery prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">When <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@POTUS<\/a> took office, the pandemic was raging and our economy was reeling.<br> <br>Now, we have added over 13.2 million jobs.<br> <br>Bidenomics is working. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/I4wAfT7tIK\">pic.twitter.com\/I4wAfT7tIK<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoeBiden\/status\/1678886597046190080?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 11, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More Biden Lies Called Out<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Biden didn\u2019t just get fact-checked over the obvious \u201cjobs created\u201d lie, but his inflation claims were also hit with the Community Notes treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cInflation is half from its (2022) peak, but is nearly 3x the rate when Biden took office,\u201d the note reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the same Budget Committee report, prices are up 15.3 percent under this administration while inflation remains over three times higher than just a couple of years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s like a store raising the cost of a product by 60% and then offering customers a \u2018sale\u2019 of 20% \u2026 then celebrating and flaunting what they\u2019ve done to your face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Inflation is down for the 12th consecutive month.<br><br>And is at the lowest level in two years.<br><br>We promised to lower costs for everyday Americans.<br><br>President Biden is delivering.<\/p>&mdash; And they aren\u2019t in sync.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It should come as no surprise. This is the same mindset that during the Obama-Biden years tried to inflate job numbers following the stimulus bill by creating a completely fake term known as \u201clives touched.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2010\/08\/19\/obamanomics-touching-lives-195000-at-a-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">not even kidding<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Making Biden\u2019s jobs \u201ccreated\u201d tale even more tragic is the fact that much of the recovery from the global pandemic is being fueled by Republican-led states. Eight of the top 10 states&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/news.release\/laus.t03.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">for jobs recovered<\/a>&nbsp;since the coronavirus pandemic began are led by Republican governors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The administration needs to stop lying about these numbers. The media needs to stop begging for a treat from their master by dutifully failing to report on that lie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They won\u2019t. But we\u2019ll be here to keep holding them accountable.
