The investigators ended the inquiry with no suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agency briefed lawmakers and their staff on Thursday morning and delivered the news. According to Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), the Secret Service was unable to obtain fingerprints off the baggie or determine the exact time when the cocaine entered the White House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As reported by the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/secret-service-cocaine-investigation-no-suspect\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Washington Examiner<\/em><\/a>, Burchett said that it &#8220;is the most ridiculous thing I&#8217;ve ever seen in my life.&#8221;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Apparently our \u2066<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SecretService?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SecretService<\/a>\u2069 has no clue (or wont tell) who brought cocaine into the \u2066<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WhiteHouse?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@WhiteHouse<\/a>\u2069 and is giving up. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/XIgEdSMNxE\">pic.twitter.com\/XIgEdSMNxE<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Tim Burchett (@timburchett) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/timburchett\/status\/1679502198374277120?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 13, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Secret Service released a statement after briefing Congress that explained that the illegal substance was found &#8220;inside a receptacle used to temporarily store electronic and personal devices prior to entering the West Wing.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This review included a backwards examination that spanned several days prior to the discovery of the substance and developed an index of several hundred individuals who may have accessed the area where the substance was found,&#8221; the Secret Service said, per<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/secret-service-close-white-house-cocaine-probe-without-finding-suspect\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>&nbsp;Fox News Digital<\/em><\/a>.
