{"id":4261,"date":"2023-07-10T16:06:36","date_gmt":"2023-07-10T21:06:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=4261"},"modified":"2023-07-10T16:06:37","modified_gmt":"2023-07-10T21:06:37","slug":"white-house-refuses-to-rule-out-hunter-as-secret-service-tests-cocaine-bag-for-finger-prints-dna","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=4261","title":{"rendered":"White House Refuses To Rule Out Hunter As Secret Service Tests Cocaine Bag For Finger Prints, DNA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The White House has thus far refused to rule out first son Hunter Biden as the culprit who brought a small bag of cocaine into the White House earlier this week, even as the Secret Service announces plans to perform both DNA and fingerprint analysis on the bag to determine a culprit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesterday the White House refused to rule out whether Hunter was responsible for bringing the cocaine into the White House, with Biden administration Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates telling a reporter he could not answer due to the Hatch Act, which prevents government employees from engaging in political activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t have a response to that because we have to be careful about the Hatch Act,\u201d said Bates, before claiming that 45th President Donald Trump\u2019s remarks about the cocaine potentially being Hunter\u2019s as \u201cincreasing frustration\u201d due to the \u201ccontrast\u201d between the policies of Joe Biden and Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The White House is refusing to rule out Hunter or Joe Biden as the owner of the cocaine. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KenMf4J42e\">pic.twitter.com\/KenMf4J42e<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bennyjohnson\/status\/1677111647691784193?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 7, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile earlier today The Daily Mail reported that the Secret Service intends to perform full analysis of the drug bag to determine its owner, even as former government and White House officials claim the ownership should have been easily determined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the investigation, the Secret Service \u201cis going through visitor logs, surveillance video, and relying on the analysis of the bag,\u201d the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-12269051\/Secret-Service-carrying-fingerprint-analysis-left-cocaine-White-House.html\">outlet reported.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though the Biden administration has repeatedly refused to comment on the drugs, especially when asked about the possibility that crack addict Hunter may have been involved, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre referred to reporting on the subject as \u201cirresponsible\u201d this afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere has been some irresponsible reporting about the [Biden] family and so I gotta call that out here,\u201d said Jean-Pierre. \u201cThe Biden family was not here.
