Kennedy Jr. continues to be a thorn in the side of the incumbent administration \u2014 but this time, the issue at hand is a particularly personal one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a blistering Twitter tirade,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/son-bidens-political-hero-robert-f-kennedy-launches-campaign-unseat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kennedy<\/a>&nbsp;blasted the clandestine way President Joe Biden and his administration had decided and announced that it would \u201cbe maintaining secrecy indefinitely\u201d on certain records related to the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy, Robert\u2019s uncle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kennedy took to his personal Twitter account Sunday and did not mince words when he tore into what he called a \u201cmidnight announcement\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It\u2019s not about conspiracy \u2013 it is about transparency. In a midnight Friday night announcement the White House has delivered the bad news that President Biden will be maintaining secrecy indefinitely on some JFK assassination related records.<\/p>&mdash; Robert F. Kennedy Jr (@RobertKennedyJr) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RobertKennedyJr\/status\/1675587171556704258?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 2, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s not about conspiracy \u2013 it is about transparency,\u201d Kennedy tweeted Sunday. \u201cIn a midnight Friday night announcement the White House has delivered the bad news that President Biden will be maintaining secrecy indefinitely on some JFK assassination related records.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kennedy appeared to be&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2023\/06\/30\/memorandum-on-certifications-regarding-disclosure-of-information-in-certain-records-related-to-the-assassination-of-president-john-f-kennedy-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">referencing a memorandum<\/a>&nbsp;to executive-branch department and agencies released Friday from the White House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Biden release noted that \u201c[i]n light of the recommendation for continued postponement of public release of information in the records identified in section 2(b) of this memorandum under the statutory standard, I hereby certify, by the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 5(g)(2)(D) of the Act, that continued postponement of public disclosure of that information is necessary to protect against identifiable harms to the military defense, intelligence operations, law enforcement, and the conduct of foreign relations that are of such gravity that they outweigh the public interest in disclosure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rfk-jr-refuses-take-interviewers-trump-bait-instead-says-proud-trumps-approval\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kennedy<\/a>, the claim that there is still \u201cidentifiable harm\u201d related to releasing information about an event so long ago made no sense, and he reacted accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe assassination was 60 years ago,\u201d he wrote in one Twitter post. \u201cWhat national security secrets could possibly be at risk?
