Ron DeSantis\u00a0are personal in the second part of his exclusive interview with Fox News\u2019 Bret Baier, saying that he finds it \u201cvery disloyal\u201d that DeSantis joined the 2024 presidential race after he helped him get elected in Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump, who is battling DeSantis for the<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>GOP presidential nomination, was discussing the COVID response of several Republican governors when he invoked the Florida\u00a0governor\u2019s nickname, \u201cRob DeSanctimonious\u201d\u00a0during the second part of the hour-long interview that aired Tuesday on \u201cSpecial Report.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhy do you use that name?\u201d Baier interjected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI got him elected,\u201d Trump replied. \u201cAnd I thought it was very disloyal when he said \u2018Yes, I\u2019d run.\u2019 I got him past two races.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m a big loyalist,\u201d Trump continued. \u201cSome people right here in this room tell me \u2018sir don\u2019t worry about loyalty, it doesn\u2019t mean anything in politics.\u2019 I said, to me it does. I got the guy elected.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump said DeSantis was \u201cdead politically\u201d before he endorsed him in 2017 Florida governor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI got the guy elected.\u00a0He came to see me, let\u2019s say weeping because he was\u00a0dead.\u00a0He was getting out of the race.\u00a0He was looking for jobs already.\u00a0Probably at law firms or\u00a0wherever he is going to look.\u00a0He was totally dead.\u00a0He ran a horrible campaign\u2026it was like a wipeout.\u00a0The election was going to be\u00a0very soon.\u00a0I said you are dead.\u00a0If George Washington endorsed\u00a0you are not going to win,\u201d\u00a0Trump told Baier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump said he decided to \u201cgive it a shot\u201d and endorsed DeSantis on Twitter.
