Burgess Owens hypothetically asked if his \u201chomeboys\u201d could go into the bathroom with the Department of Education (ED) Secretary\u2019s daughter if they felt they were women at a Tuesday Committee on Education and the Workforce hearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWould you say as an 18-year-old young man that if me and some of my homeboys decided that we wanted to be women, would it be okay for me to go into your daughter\u2019s bathroom and expose myself because I felt as if I was a woman?\u201d Owens said. \u201cWould that be fair to your daughter? By the way I have five daughters, so I am very passionate about the questions I asked you right now and I would think there would be no question in your mind as a father what these answers should be.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In June 2022, the ED&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/23\/joe-biden-education-department-title-ix-transgender-identity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">proposed<\/a>&nbsp;changes to Title IX that would require every sex-separated space, such as school bathrooms and locker rooms, to accommodate individuals on the basis of gender identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s nothing in our proposed Title IX regulations that determine how bathrooms should be used,\u201d Miguel Cardona responded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe class=\"zeen-lazy-load-base zeen-lazy-load\" title=\"WATCH: Burgess Owens Tears Into Education Secretary Cardona Over New Policy Proposals\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"about:blank\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dMtgUE4-o8Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><noscript><iframe title=\"WATCH: Burgess Owens Tears Into Education Secretary Cardona Over New Policy Proposals\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dMtgUE4-o8Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In January, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2023\/01\/08\/ruling-transgender-bathrooms-womens-sports\/\" target=\"_blank\">ruled<\/a>\u00a0that a Florida school board\u2019s policy that required students to use bathrooms on the basis of biological sex was not in violation of Title IX. The 4th circuit has\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jdsupra.com\/legalnews\/recent-ruling-on-school-s-transgender-3835695\/\" target=\"_blank\">ruled<\/a>\u00a0in the opposite direction, saying that school policies which separate bathrooms on the basis of biological sex violate transgender students\u2019 rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In April, the ED released additional proposed changes to Title IX that would\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2023\/04\/06\/biden-admin-guidance-trans-athletes\/\" target=\"_blank\">prohibit<\/a>\u00a0public K-12 schools and colleges from adopting a \u201cone-size-fits-all-policy\u201d which prohibits students from joining sports teams on the basis of gender identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Original Article: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2023\/05\/bidens-education-boss-asked-ok-homeboys-showering-daughter\/\">https:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2023\/05\/bidens-education-boss-asked-ok-homeboys-showering-daughter\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8216;I would think there&#8217;d be no question in your mind as a father what these answers should be&#8217; Republican Rep.
