As a senator, she campaigned on admitting Ukraine to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and promised to set the legislative agenda to admit Ukraine to NATO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2010, Secretary of State Clinton&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/File:Secretary_Clinton_Is_Greeted_By_Ukrainian_President_Yanukovych.jpg\">was warmly welcomed in Kyiv<\/a>&nbsp;by Ukraine\u2019s pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych. During that visit, Clinton told Yanukovych that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rferl.org\/a\/Clinton_Tells_Ukraine_That_Door_To_NATO_Remains_Open\/2089237.html\">\u201cNATO\u2019s door remains open\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;despite Yanukovych\u2019s evident retreat from pursuing NATO membership. The battlelines between Hillary and Trump trace back to 2004 when Paul Manafort agreed to become a paid advisor to Yanukovych.&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/what-did-ex-trump-aide-paul-manafort-really-do-ukraine-n775431\">Manafort<\/a>&nbsp;was a top-level Republican operative who had previously worked with Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.&nbsp; Yanukovych was a former governor of Donetsk, a Russian-speaking region of Ukraine close to the border with Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decisions that led Obama\/Hillary\/Biden to go to war against Russia in today\u2019s proxy Ukraine-Russia war trace back to November 30, 2013,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-europe-25162563\">the day Yanukovych announced he was suspending preparations<\/a>&nbsp;for signing an agreement to join NATO that had been scheduled to occur at an EU summit held that day in Vilnius, Lithuania.&nbsp; The State Department\u2019s efforts to block Yanukovych from power in Ukraine&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2004\/nov\/26\/ukraine.usa\">began with the Soros-funded Orange Revolution in 2004<\/a>. &nbsp;In December 2013,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2013\/dec\/01\/ukraine-largest-street-protests-orange-revolution\">300,00 Ukrainians took to the streets<\/a>&nbsp;in the largest protests since the Orange Revolution, this time demanding Yanukovych resign.&nbsp; These protests developed into&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cato.org\/commentary\/americas-ukraine-hypocrisy\">the State Department<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.opensocietyfoundations.org\/voices\/keep-spirit-maidan-alive\">Soros-funded Maidan Revolution,<\/a>&nbsp;which ultimately led to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carnegiemoscow.org\/commentary\/59172#:~:text=He%20thought%20that%20Russia%20no,Yanukovych%20caved%20in%20and%20fled.\">Yanukovych fleeing to Russia<\/a>&nbsp;in February 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On September 21, 2019,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2019\/09\/all-eyes-on-ukraine-deep-state-and-hillary-operatives-worked-with-ukrainian-government-to-take-down-trump\/\">investigative journalist Lee Stranahan reported in TGP<\/a>\u00a0that Soros funded the International Renaissance Foundation that worked closely with Hillary Clinton\u2019s State Department in Ukraine and contributed at least $8 million to Hillary-affiliated super-PACs in her 2016 presidential campaign cycle.\u00a0 On March 19, 2015, the\u00a0<em>Wall Street Journal<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/clinton-charity-tapped-foreign-friends-1426818602\">published a chart showing Ukrainian donors<\/a>\u00a0led the list of nations from which contributions by individuals of more than $50,000 went to the Clinton Foundation.\u00a0 According to the\u00a0<em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>, Ukrainian individual donors contribute $10.0 million to the Clinton Foundation between 1999 and 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In August 2016, the Associated Press (AP)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/as-secretary-of-state-hillary-clinton-hosted-at-dinner-a-ukrainian-donor-to-family-foundation-1471995857\">broke the story that while she was secretary of state<\/a>, Clinton hosted in June 2012, a private dinner for Clinton Foundation donors at her home, including Victor Pinchuk, a Ukrainian businessman whose Ukrainian-based foundation donated at least $8.6 million to the Clinton Foundation.&nbsp; During the period in which he attended Clinton\u2019s private dinner, Pinchuk had retained Doug Schoen, a New York-based pollster who was a former advisor to President Bill Clinton, to set up meetings with State Department officials.&nbsp; On February 12, 2014, the&nbsp;<em>New York Times<\/em>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/02\/13\/us\/politics\/trade-dispute-centers-on-ukrainian-executive-with-ties-to-clintons.html\">reported that Pinchuk, whose father-in-law is Leonid Kuchma,<\/a>&nbsp;president of Ukraine from 1994 to 2005, \u201cled a government criticized for corruption, nepotism, and the murder of dissident journalists.\u201d&nbsp; As president, Kuchma privatized a giant state steel factory and sold it to Pinchuk\u2019s consortium for the low price of approximately $800 million.&nbsp; The&nbsp;<em>New York Times<\/em>article also reported that between 2006 and 2014, Pinchuk donated roughly $13.1 million to the Clinton Foundation.&nbsp; Pinchuk&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kyivpost.com\/post\/7810\">strongly advocated<\/a>&nbsp;Ukraine joining the EU, a cause he championed with Secretary of State Clinton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After Hillary left the State Department in 2014, Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Victoria Nuland, took up the cause of getting Ukraine into NATO.\u00a0 On December 13, 2013, amid the Maidan Revolution, Nuland\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/2009-2017.state.gov\/p\/eur\/rls\/rm\/2013\/dec\/218804.htm\">gave a speech to the U.S. Ukraine Foundation<\/a>.\u00a0 In that speech, she said, \u201cWhen Ukrainians say they are European, this is what they mean.\u00a0 And as one very prominent Ukrainian businessman said to me, \u2018The Maidan Movement\u2019s greatest achievement is that it has proven that the people of Ukraine will no longer support any president\u2014this one [i.e., Yanukovych] or a future one\u2014who does not take them to Europe.&#8217;\u201d \u00a0In February 2014,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenation.com\/article\/archive\/not-so-secret-ukraine-phone-call\/\">a leaked transcript of a telephone call<\/a>\u00a0between Nuland and Geoffrey Pyatt, then U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Nuland said, \u201cF\u2026 the EU!\u201d in apparent frustration the EU was not equally as strong as the State Department in supporting the Maidan Revolution\u2019s push to for Ukraine to join NATO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In March 2014, following the Maidan Revolution that ousted Yanukovych, Russian troops invaded and annexed Crimea while supporting&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20140412131249\/http:\/www.kyivpost.com\/content\/ukraine\/armed-pro-russian-insurgents-in-luhansk-say-they-are-ready-for-police-raid-343167.html\">Russian-backed separatists supported<\/a>&nbsp;Russia-aligned Donbas and Luhansk republics as independent states in battles with the Ukrainian army.&nbsp; On February 18, 2023, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stepped in front of microphones for an impromptu press conference following a meeting of the NATO Defense Ministers at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.&nbsp; Stoltenberg openly admitted to the Western media that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=b7fyjDyhHp8&amp;t=392s\">NATO has been at war with Russia since 2014<\/a>.&nbsp; \u201cSince 2014, NATO allies have provided support to Ukraine with training and equipment.
