Glenn Youngkin and former&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2023\/01\/25\/hogans-office-surprised-disappointed-by-lack-of-doj-urgency-in-protecting-justices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maryland Gov. The Marshals Service did not respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This marks a year that the activists have been demonstrating in front of the justices\u2019 homes, beginning after the May 2022&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2023\/05\/02\/one-year-later-dobbs-leak-led-attacks-justices-pro-lifers-catholics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">leak of the draft<\/a>&nbsp;Supreme Court opinion showing Roe v. Wade would soon be overturned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most recent protest prompted House Judiciary GOP to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JudiciaryGOP\/status\/1654471581328896001?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">question on Twitter<\/a>, \u201cWhy are U.S. Marshals being trained not to make arrests of protesters outside Supreme Court justices\u2019 homes?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judicial Crisis Network President Carrie Severino&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JCNSeverino\/status\/1654455075035643914?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">emphasized<\/a>&nbsp;that \u201cwith Garland\u2019s determination not to enforce federal law, we should expect protestors to continue to illegally harass the justices at their private homes indefinitely.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BasedMikeLee\/status\/1654453140593205253?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">called<\/a>&nbsp;the protesting \u201ca criminal threat to the safety of Supreme Court justices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhy are U.S. Marshals being instructed not to make arrests?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Protestors back illegally demonstrating at Justice Kavanaugh\u2019s and Justice Robert\u2019s neighborhoods in violation of 18 USC 1507. Katie Britt of Alabama, Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Ted Cruz of Texas, and Mike Lee of Utah reveal that they have obtained \u201cpost orders\u201d dated May 19, 2022, that claim \u201cUSMS is not in a position to enforce\u201d federal and state law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The U.S. Marshals Service should not engage protesters \u201cunless they attempt to enter private property,\u201d the post orders said, according to the senators. This matches what members of the U.S. Marshals Service&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2023\/01\/22\/far-left-activists-continue-demonstrations-at-justice-kavanaugh-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told The Daily Signal<\/a>&nbsp;on the ground at Chief Justice John Roberts\u2019 home in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>June 4 post orders, which came four days before authorities arrested a man for attempting to assassinate Kavanaugh, reportedly warned the marshals that they \u201cshould not engage in protest-related enforcement actions beyond that which are strictly and immediately necessary and tailored to ensure the physical safety of the Justices and their families.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like similar materials that Britt revealed in March, the post orders also allegedly ordered U.S. Marshals Service personnel that \u201c[a]ny contemplated USMS enforcement action should be coordinated in advance\u201d with the appropriate U.S. attorney\u2019s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe simple fact of the matter is that the Administration agreed with the protestors\u2019 politics and willfully chose not to enforce the law,\u201d Britt said in an emailed statement to\u00a0The Daily Signal earlier this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Original Article: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2023\/05\/05\/illegal-protesting-continues-homes-supreme-court-justices\/\">https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2023\/05\/05\/illegal-protesting-continues-homes-supreme-court-justices\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Illegal demonstrations apparently are continuing to take place at the homes of the&nbsp;Supreme Court justices&nbsp;despite federal law forbidding such activities.
