A San Diego school\u2019s partnership with the\u00a0Council on American Islamic Relations<\/strong>\u00a0(CAIR) to protect\u00a0Muslim<\/strong>\u00a0students has ignited outrage, as parents\u00a0express\u00a0concerns over potential indoctrination and the erosion of American values.
When it comes to our kids, we don\u2019t mess around. So, when a school in San Diego decided to cozy up with the\u00a0Council on American-Islamic Relations<\/strong>\u00a0(CAIR) to create a program\u00a0\u201cprotecting\u201d Muslim students<\/strong>\u00a0from bullying, it\u2019s no wonder parents got their feathers all ruffled up.

In an effort to quell the confusion among parents, Trustee Kevin Beiser<\/strong> spoke up during the board meeting, stating, \u201cWe will not allow Muslim students in San Diego schools to be spit on.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> While most would agree that \u201call students should be safe,\u201d<\/em> <\/strong>as one parent remarked, the partnership with CAIR has struck a chord of discontent with many.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frustrated by the school\u2019s alliance with CAIR<\/strong>, Wyrick<\/strong> confronted the school board, demanding answers. \u201cAt what point did you decide that it was OK to teach my children about Islam?\u201d<\/em><\/strong> he inquired. Despite being asked to step down from the podium, Wyrick <\/strong>stood his ground, exclaiming, \u201cYou\u2019re gonna have to drag me out of here.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more folks dug into this, the more they started to question CAIR and its motives. Some claimed that CAIR was nothing more than a front for the Muslim Brotherhood and that they were trying to shove Islamic teachings down our kids\u2019 throats. The fact that this program was being pushed in schools all over the country didn\u2019t sit well with folks either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, what\u2019s the takeaway here? People are tired of having their values trampled on. They\u2019re fed up with outsiders dictating what their kids should learn and believe. And if Christians tried to pull a stunt like this, you can bet your bottom dollar there\u2019d be a massive uproar.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0story\u00a0rapidly gained traction online, garnering support for\u00a0Wyrick<\/strong>\u00a0and criticism for the school\u2019s perceived promotion of Islam through the anti-bullying program.\u00a0Detractors have even gone so far as to claim that the campaign against Islamophobia is tantamount to implementing Sharia law within the school district.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKeep after them Mr. Wyrick,\u201d<\/em> one reader commented on the site\u2019s Facebook page. <\/strong>\u201cThe organization CAIR is a front for the Muslim brotherhood and every member of CAIR is a member of The Muslim Brotherhood and all of them are members of HAMAS.CAIR is pushing these Islam teachings nationwide and infiltrating the school. These teaching are actually FORCED Conversion to Islam and it is ILLEGAL. Everybody on the San Diego School Board should be fired ASAP.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGood for you sir. I stand behind you 100%,\u201d <\/em>another added.<\/strong> \u201cThis crap doesn\u2019t belong in America\u2019s school systems. Can you even begin to imagine if we went to their Country and did not assimilate to their beliefs? This is America and we already have our beliefs and if you don\u2019t like it, then you shouldn\u2019t be living in this Country. You knew what this Country was long before you came here.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf Christians tried to enact this\u2026all HELL would break loose,\u201d <\/em>another wrote.<\/strong> \u201cParents wake up and get involved and stop this evil from happening before it\u2019s too late. We the people are responsible for what\u2019s taking place in our country and we the parents need to take back our schools!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
