And thanks to Community Notes, even the nincompoops reading Nancy&#8217;s ignorant tweet will too:\u00a0<em>&#8220;Ms. Pelosi mistakenly says that Trump can prove his innocence at trial. Law in the US assumes the innocence of a defendant and the prosecution must prove guilt for a conviction.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a link to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.louderwithcrowder.com\/Cornell\" target=\"_blank\">Cornell Law School<\/a>. It&#8217;s not Trump&#8217;s job to prove his innocence. It&#8217;s Alvin Bragg&#8217;s job to prove Trump&#8217;s guilt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I harken back to something Jon Stewart said this week. He lamented how old our elected officials are, and how everything is held together by a handful of staffers. Pelosi&#8217;s staffers holding it together for her don&#8217;t understand basic civics. The political communication professionals, all of who had to sign off on this talking point, also don&#8217;t understand basic civics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or, none of them care about basic civics. And think that because they hate Trump and he&#8217;s their political opponent, he doesn&#8217;t deserve to be treated fairly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s fine. It&#8217;s the new norm now. It&#8217;s the new rules. New rules I&#8217;m going to look forward to having under a Republican administration. Not unlike when Harry Reid was warned when he eliminated the filibuster, leftists aren&#8217;t going to like what happens next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&gt;&lt;&gt;&lt;&gt;&lt;&gt;&lt;&gt;&lt;&gt;&lt;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Brodigan is Grand Poobah of this here website and when he isn&#8217;t writing words about things enjoys day drinking, pro-wrestling, and country music.
