{"id":2331,"date":"2023-03-27T13:03:34","date_gmt":"2023-03-27T18:03:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=2331"},"modified":"2023-03-27T13:03:34","modified_gmt":"2023-03-27T18:03:34","slug":"desantis-dismisses-attacks-saying-he-doesnt-have-personality-to-become-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=2331","title":{"rendered":"DESANTIS DISMISSES ATTACKS SAYING HE DOESN\u2019T HAVE PERSONALITY TO BECOME PRESIDENT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%20370%20247'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-120.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"zeen-lazy-load-base zeen-lazy-load wp-image-2332\"\/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-120.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2332\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-120.png 650w, https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-120-300x157.png 300w, https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-120-293x153.png 293w, https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-120-390x204.png 390w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/noscript><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During an interview this week, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis dismissed attacks from his political opponents who claim that he does not have enough personality to win the 2024 presidential election.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DeSantis made his comments during a discussion with Piers Morgan on Fox Nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne of the other criticisms that is used against you about your personality, probably because some people don\u2019t know you very well, because those who do, who I\u2019ve spoken to, tell a different story,\u201d Morgan said. \u201cBut you\u2019re being depicted in some of the national media as very intense, quite boring, charisma devoid.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morgan said that one critic who reviewed DeSantis\u2019 book said that he \u201cwould launch any charm offensive unarmed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell, I appreciate the knocks on the book, it\u2019s the number one book in America far and away,\u201d DeSantis responded after a laugh. \u201cI\u2019ve sold more than any non-president in the history of the country in terms of the first week, so we\u2019ve been doing pretty good, a lot of people like it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DeSantis then turned to attacks from his political opponents, saying that they are just mad he doesn\u2019t prioritize being part of the political elite and instead focuses on his job and his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSo here\u2019s the thing, I think these are people who are in the political class, journalist class, politicians in, like, D.C. in particular, they get mad I don\u2019t do the cocktail parties,\u201d DeSantis said. \u201cI don\u2019t like rubbing elbows with other people. I like doing my job and then spending time with my family. That\u2019s just what I do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA lot of the people that are criticizing, you know, they would say, \u2018Oh, he doesn\u2019t do well with donors. He doesn\u2019t glad hand with them,\u2019\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd yet I raise more money than any non-presidential candidate in the history of America!
