The Biden administration\u2019s beliefs come in conflict with economic experts who believe the United States will enter a recession this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jean-Pierre\u2019s comments came in response to a reporter asking about President Biden\u2019s views on Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and his efforts to reduce inflation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe understand what the American people are feeling, that is why we have made it a priority to do everything that we can to lower costs for Americans,\u201d Jean-Pierre said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe do not see a recession or pre-recession. We see a strong economy and it\u2019s because of the work that this president has done,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, according to an\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conference-board.org\/research\/us-forecast\" target=\"_blank\">analysis<\/a>\u00a0from the nonpartisan Conference Board, U.S. \u201ceconomic weakness will intensify and spread more widely throughout the US economy over the coming months, leading to a recession starting in mid-2023.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The analysis found that \u201cthe US economy will slip into recession in 2023 and expect GDP growth to contract for three consecutive quarters starting in Q2 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WH press sec: &quot;We do not see a recession or pre-recession.
