President Joe Biden reportedly has some pretty serious trust issues with his Secret Service protective detail according to the details revealed in a new book coming out Jan. 17. Biden\u2019s biggest problem seems to be that some of the agents allegedly supported former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concerns levied in the new book: Chris Whipple\u2019s \u201cThe Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden\u2019s White House<\/a>\u201d range from the biting incidents of Biden\u2019s dog Major, to the politicization of the Secret Service according to The Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA bigger problem was Biden\u2019s discomfort with his Secret Service detail; some of them were MAGA sympathizers.\u201d Whipple wrote, with The Hill citing an advance copy of the book. \u201cHe didn\u2019t trust them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biden\u2019s newer detail is far larger than what he was accustomed to as Vice President under President Barack Obama. Troublingly, Biden\u2019s chief concern seems to arise from a wariness that the Secret Service is composed of \u201cwhite ex-cops from the South who tend to be deeply conservative.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSurrounded by a new phalanx of strangers, Biden couldn\u2019t help but wonder, Do these people really want me here<\/em>?\u201d Whipple wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The book insinuates that the elevation of former Secret Service Agent Tony Ornato to deputy White House Chief of Staff for Operations caused Biden additional concern given now-debunked testimony from Cassidy Hutchinson<\/a> that alleged former President Trump had a physical altercation with agents in his Presidential SUV on January 6th<\/a> and demanded to be taken to the capitol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The situation was exacerbated by the salacious, \u2018findings\u2019 released by the \u201cunselect committee,<\/a>\u201d as Trump referred to the illegitimate partisan exercise orchestrated by House Democrats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Whipple, Biden expressed doubts regarding the incident involving his dog Major and Secret Service Agents. \u201cSomebody was lying, Biden thought, about the way the incident had gone down,\u201d Whipple wrote. Biden reportedly \u201cwasn\u2019t buying the details,\u201d including where the bite even took place according to Whipple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
