Suggesting that due to Fox News:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>\u201c\u2026dis- and misinformation\u2026we need to take a look<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>at how this is being broadcast to our troops.\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Phang asked Rep. Swalwell if there should be any sort of \u201ccongressional oversight, regulations, some type of gatekeeping\u201d regarding Fox News, after Tucker Carlson aired previously never-before-seen footage from the events of January 6, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fang said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I\u2019m wondering a lot about Americans and the disinformation and the misinformation that was pumped out of\u00a0<em>Fox News<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0Have there been any discussions in Congress about, maybe, congressional oversight, regulations, maybe the FCC getting involved?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Swalwell responded:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">I don\u2019t want to get into the business of telling troops what they can and cannot watch.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But then he did exactly that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">[I]f you have a news station that a court is going to rule is, in its evening hour, perpetuating dis- and misinformation, I don\u2019t know if I disagree with [those] saying that&nbsp;<strong>we need to take a look at how this is being broadcast to our troops<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The California\u00a0<del>democrat<\/del>\u00a0communist\/globalist added, suggesting Congress could move to ban overseas troops from viewing Fox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">So I don\u2019t think we are without complete recourse.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seemingly threatening Fox News hosts, Swalwell noted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">I hope that\u2019s an incentive for Fox News to clean up its evening hour, starting with Tucker Carlson and going late into the evening with Laura Ingraham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">They all spun and told these lies.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WATCH: Eric Swalwell suggests banning Fox News from troops overseas<br><br>The real irony?
