LA Times Says White Drivers Polluting Air Breathed By People Of Color"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The racist liberal drivel cites a study recently released&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/osf.io\/preprints\/socarxiv\/wd92j\/\" target=\"_blank\">by USC researchers<\/a>&nbsp;looking into race and vehicular air pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">White drivers are polluting the air breathed by L.A.\u2019s people of color<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1cBp2TTay6\">https:\/\/t.co\/1cBp2TTay6<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Los Angeles Times (@latimes) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/latimes\/status\/1633840062160072707?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 9, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The author, Sammy Roth, explained his personal guilt as he \u201ccouldn\u2019t help but consider\u201d his \u201cown complicity\u201d in what he labeled a \u201cfunction of the racism that shaped\u201d Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, the author called for \u201cclimate solutions that benefit everyone\u201d to combat the negative health effects of air pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The city of Los Angeles does have a well-known pollution problem, and the study correlated an increase in miles driven to and from work with a decrease in the lung-damaging \u201cfine particulate matter\u201d drivers are exposed to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While this would likely mean people who spend more time outdoors would be subjected to more exposure to the dangerous pollution regardless of race, the author of the study claimed the fact that many minority neighborhoods are located near highways proves the pollution is racist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.infowarsstore.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Educate yourself further by tapping into our store&#8217;s vast collection of books and movies.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study\u2019s lead author, Geoff Boeing, said L.A. County low-income communities of color were \u201ctorn apart\u201d to make way for freeways&nbsp;while white neighborhoods \u201coften\u201d kept highways out of their areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The self-loathing LA Times writer wrote, \u201cAs a white guy who\u2019s lived on L.A.\u2019s Westside for most of my life, I\u2019ve benefited from the region\u2019s sordid history as well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He then explained how he takes the train \u201ca couple times a month\u201d and walks to nearby shops \u201cinstead of driving across the city,\u201d AKA exploring the surrounding area and supporting new businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite his efforts, Roth noted, \u201cthere\u2019s no question I contribute to the inequitable air pollution that Boeing\u2019s study describes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a laughable admission, the writer told readers the highway planning in the area was \u201clargely a function of geography,\u201d because architects had \u201cno choice but to route those highways through narrow passes in the Santa Monica Mountains.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another nature-related influence on pollution in the area is \u201cocean breezes that push pollution into predominantly Black and Latino areas,\u201d according to Boeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201csolutions\u201d proposed by the leftist outlet are forcing more people into driving electric vehicles, offering tax credits for those working from home and charging \u201ctaxes\u201d on those who drive to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The article also suggested low-income apartments get built in affluent neighborhoods \u201cto make it easier for low-income families to live closer to where they work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lastly, the<em>&nbsp;Times<\/em>&nbsp;called for an increase in bus transportation in the city to combat pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper\u2019s Twitter page ironically posted an article titled, \u201cIt\u2019s time to hit the road,\u201d just two hours after posting the \u201cWhite drivers are polluting the air breathed by L.A.\u2019s people of color\u201d piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Let\u2019s hit the road.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/riQzU48toX\">https:\/\/t.co\/riQzU48toX<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Los Angeles Times (@latimes) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/latimes\/status\/1633862710981951489?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 9, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Titled, \u201c11 perfect California road trips to take this spring break,\u201d the article told readers, \u201cLos Angeles County travelers are lucky \u2014 our slice of Southern California, home to Highway 1 and the historic Route 66, is an especially well-positioned jumping-off point for anyone with the urge to hit the road.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is just another example of the hypocritical left pushing the World Economic Forum\u2019s Great Reset agenda in the name of saving the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SOURCE: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newswars.com\/huh-la-times-says-white-drivers-polluting-air-breathed-by-people-of-color\/\">https:\/\/www.newswars.com\/huh-la-times-says-white-drivers-polluting-air-breathed-by-people-of-color\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The racist liberal drivel cites a study recently released&nbsp;by USC researchers&nbsp;looking into race and vehicular air pollution.
