Staunch Trump supporter Mike \u201cPillow King\u201d Lindell has questioned Florida Governor Ron DeSantis\u2019s recent landslide re-election win in the Sunshine State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In what could be a precursor to a coming battle between the former President and current Florida Governor, Lindell, a major influencer for Trump\u2019s base, is throwing shade at DeSantis, claiming his victory in deep blue counties in Florida smack of voter fraud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump has already announced his candidacy for 2024. DeSantis has not said if he will run for President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lindell specifically questioned the big victory DeSantis won in Miami-Dade County on \u201cThe Lindell Report.\u201d The county, which has traditionally gone for Democrats in past elections, swung big for DeSantis during the Florida gubernatorial race by 11 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
No evidence of fraud has circulated, and before the election, a number of observers had pointed to the county and suggested that DeSantis had a chance to pull off a big victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But Lindell went after DeSantis over his unprecedented victory in traditionally blue Miam-Dade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI look at deviations, everybody. That\u2019s a deviation. I don\u2019t believe it,\u201d Lindell said, later adding that \u201cI\u2019m going to find out in Miami-Dade County \u2013 what happened there because it\u2019s a deviation from the norm.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The often controversial MyPillow CEO is being sued for defamation by Dominion Voting Systems regarding his comments about the 2020 election and their voting machines. Lindell has pushed dubious claims about the 2020 election despite the fact that no widespread fraud was found, and multiple audits in different states have affirmed the states\u2019 original results in the 2020 election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While Republican candidates and other members of the party have often targeted election denialism claims at Democrats, the MyPillow CEO\u2019s comments are unusually targeted at another Republican.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
