Sarah Sanders (R-AR), Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD), Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and Rep. Marjorie Greene (R-GA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Conservative Brief further&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/conservativebrief.com\/four-women-70899\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Former President Donald Trump has yet to select a running mate for his 2024 nomination bid, but a report this week suggested that a few names could be high on his list.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Politico previously\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/11\/29\/trump-vice-president-choice-2024-523429\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a>\u00a0that according to an unnamed Trump adviser, the former president is likely to choose a running mate \u201cfrom three general lanes of candidates: women, conservatives of color, or a trusted adviser.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>According to a new&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/four-women-trump-vice-president\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a>&nbsp;from the&nbsp;Washington Examiner, these four Republican women could be high on Trump\u2019s shortlist: North Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and former Arizona journalist Kari Lake.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The Washington Examiner reported:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Sanders, the youngest governor in the United States and the longest-tenured press secretary in the Trump White House, flew up political draft boards after she delivered what Trump supporters agree was an \u201cexceptionally strong\u201d response to Biden\u2019s State of the Union on Feb. 7.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Noem was elected as South Dakota\u2019s first female governor in 2018 after spending more than a decade in the House of Representatives and has made a name for herself as a leading Republican lawmaker in the so-called \u201cculture wars.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Stefanik, the current chairwoman of the House GOP conference, was elected as a centrist Republican in 2015 but, after serving on the president\u2019s defense team during his first impeachment, has shifted increasingly to the right. She frequently touts her strong ties to Trump and even endorsed his 2024 run days before he announced his candidacy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Lake is perhaps the strangest potential pick and one many current and former Trump advisers hope he avoids. The former Phoenix-area news anchor lost her Trump-endorsed 2022 gubernatorial bid against Democrat Katie Hobbs, but she only further endeared herself to the former president by repeatedly claiming that widespread fraud occurred in the 2020 election.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>One name not mentioned in the Washinton Examiner report is&nbsp;Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia. Her name has been floated in the media recently.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>NBC\u2019s Jonathan Allen\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/2024-election\/marjorie-taylor-greene-aims-trumps-vp-pick-2024-rcna67266\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a>\u00a0that several people have spoken to Greene and have been told \u201cabout her weighty ambitions,\u201d Mediaite noted. \u201cThe second-term congresswoman has managed to align herself with the top Republican in the House, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), acting as one of the Republican\u2019s most vocal allies in his fight to become House speaker.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cThis is no shrinking violet, she\u2019s ambitious \u2014 she\u2019s not shy about that, nor should she be,\u201d said Steve Bannon, host of top podcast \u201cWar Room\u201d and an early leading political adviser to Trump.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cShe sees herself on the shortlist for Trump\u2019s VP. Paraphrasing Cokie Roberts, when MTG looks in the mirror she sees a potential president smiling back,\u201d he added, a reference to the late political reporter who worked for NPR, ABC News, and other outlets.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cWar Room\u201d podcast host Steve Bannon&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/2024-election\/marjorie-taylor-greene-aims-trumps-vp-pick-2024-rcna67266\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;in an interview this week with&nbsp;NBC News: \u201cThis is no shrinking violet, she\u2019s ambitious \u2014 she\u2019s not shy about that, nor should she be. \u2026 She sees herself on the shortlist for Trump\u2019s VP.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>When Greene \u201clooks in the mirror, she sees a potential president smiling back,\u201d Bannon noted further.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cShe\u2019s both strategic and disciplined \u2014 she made a power move, knowing it would run up hard against her most ardent crew,\u201d Bannon added. \u201cShe was prepared to take the intense heat\/hatred short-term for the long-term goal of being a player.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In October, New York Times Magazine writer Robert Draper&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/conservativebrief.com\/stuns-67612\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">appeared<\/a>&nbsp;on MSNBC, saying that the firebrand Georgia Republican has told him that she may be on the ticket with Trump next year.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cTo be fair, it\u2019s very likely that Trump has had this conversation with half a dozen other people too,\u201d he told host Ali Velshi, adding that Greene, however, may have something other GOP women don\u2019t.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cWhat Greene possesses that Trump so craves is loyalty. She has always been there for Trump. She has always had his back and after his experience with his last running mate, Mike Pence, it\u2019s clear that he\u2019s going to prize loyalty above all else, so I wouldn\u2019t count it out,\u201d he said.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>When Draper spoke to The Daily Beast\u2019s \u201cNew Abnormal\u201d podcast previously, he said \u201cthat Greene had risen quickly in her first term in Congress by using the same tactics she honed as a right-wing social media influencer harassing Democratic staffers, and she could shoot to the second-highest office in government,\u201d Raw Story&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rawstory.com\/marjorie-taylor-greene-trump-2658485188\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cRepublicans kind of wanted to kick her to the curb immediately,\u201d said Draper, per the outlet. \u201cBut instead, she became a fundraising dynamo, came to have this huge social media influence, and ultimately came to be very influential within the party itself.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Draper went on to say that Trump has been seriously discussing Greene as a potential VP since February.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201c[Trump] has every reason to expect that Greene would be by his side and would be his proximate warrior\u201d through thick and thin, Draper noted further.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/resistthemainstream.com\/four-women-take-early-lead-to-be-trumps-vp-if-he-wins-gop-nomination-2\/\">https:\/\/resistthemainstream.com\/four-women-take-early-lead-to-be-trumps-vp-if-he-wins-gop-nomination-2\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former President Donald Trump has few challengers, yet speculation has begun about whom he will choose as his vice-presidential nominee.
