James Comer, the new chair of the House Oversight Committee,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1NL4pJ_scaruSru11gSP3A11sg-2NEzl_\/view\">sent a letter to Hunter Biden<\/a>, along with his business associate Eric Schwerin,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/hunter-biden-james-biden-house-oversight-committee-james-comer\/\">&nbsp;and uncle James Biden,<\/a>&nbsp;asking for a number of communications documents relating to his foreign business deals and finances, and any&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/valiantnews.com\/2023\/02\/fbi-searches-bidens-beach-house-for-classified-documents\/\">classified documents he may have.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Committee is investigating President Biden\u2019s knowledge of and role in these foreign business deals to assess whether he has compromised our national security at the expense of the American people,\u201d Comer wrote in the letter, adding in a later statement that the \u201cBiden family business model is built on Joe Biden\u2019s political career and connections\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cBiden family members attempted to sell access around the world, including individuals who were connected to the Chinese Communist Party, to enrich themselves to the detriment of American interests. Jamies Raskin, \u201cto see whether Mr. Biden has information that may inform some legitimate legislative purpose and be helpful to the Committee.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, a spokesman for the Oversight Committee GOP completely dismissed the letter. \u201cIt\u2019s no surprise that Hunter Biden is trying to stonewall Congress\u2019 oversight and hide information about Joe Biden\u2019s involvement in his family\u2019s suspicious business practices,\u201d the spokesman said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%20370%20247'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/valiantnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/BeFunky-collage-55-1-300x163.jpg\" alt=\"Hunter Biden\" class=\"zeen-lazy-load-base zeen-lazy-load wp-image-6478\"\/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/valiantnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/BeFunky-collage-55-1-300x163.jpg\" alt=\"Hunter Biden\" class=\"wp-image-6478\"\/><\/noscript><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Exclusive image retrieved from Hunter Biden\u2019s iPhone backup provided to Valiant News by Marco Polo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe American people demand transparency and oversight, not political coverups,\u201d the statement added. \u201cThe Oversight Committee will continue its oversight and use all tools at its disposal to gather information critical to our investigation and to inform legislative solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/valiantnews.com\/2023\/02\/hunter-biden-demands-doj-investigate-trump-allies-over-infamous-laptop-findings\/\">Lowell wrote letters to the Department of Justice<\/a>\u00a0and the Delaware Attorney General demanding that they investigate a number of top Trump allies, including Steve Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, Garrett Ziegler, along with John Paul Mac Isaac, the Wilmington computer repair shop owner, for sharing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/valiantnews.com\/2022\/11\/cbs-confirms-authenticity-of-hunter-biden-laptop-two-years-after-story-originally-broke\/\">information from Hunter\u2019s laptop.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These letters were published only a few days after\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/valiantnews.com\/2023\/02\/hunter-slapped-with-defamation-suit-as-lawyer-demands-criminal-investigation-over-laptop\/\">Hunter was slapped with a $1,500,000 defamation suit by Mac Isaac<\/a>\u00a0after he was tracked down by a private investigator to Culver City, California.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Abbe Lowell, the attorney for Hunter Biden, has rejected a House Oversight Committee demand to produce documents related to his business dealings.
