{"id":1238,"date":"2023-02-13T11:23:52","date_gmt":"2023-02-13T16:23:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=1238"},"modified":"2023-02-13T11:23:52","modified_gmt":"2023-02-13T16:23:52","slug":"fox-news-panel-erupts-in-heated-debate-over-joe-and-hunter-biden-thats-not-evidence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nakedpolitics.net\/?p=1238","title":{"rendered":"Fox News panel erupts in heated debate over Joe and Hunter Biden: \u2018That\u2019s not evidence!\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An \u201cOutnumbered\u201d segment with former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer got very heated on Thursday as the panel debated evidence against Hunter Biden and whether his laptop controversy is more about President Biden than his son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The panel was discussing the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/americanwirenews.com\/fmr-agent-emotionally-testifies-there-became-two-fbis-details-what-she-experienced-first-hand\/\" target=\"_blank\">House Oversight Committee\u2019s hearing<\/a>\u00a0concerning Twitter\u2019s censorship of conservatives and its squelching of the Hunter Biden laptop story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fleischer was the show\u2019s #OneLuckyGuy and he urged Republicans to focus on Joe Biden instead of his son as they dig into the Biden family over their business dealings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cListen to the biased way the question was phrased.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/americanwirenews.com\/jim-jordan-smacks-down-dem-demanding-notes-from-convos-with-dozens-of-whistleblowers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">House Republicans, Senate Republicans are going to investigate<\/a>&nbsp;your family was the question. No, they\u2019re going to investigate Joe Biden. Joe Biden\u2019s family is meaningless in this,\u201d Fleischer asserted. \u201cI, as a Republican, will never use the name of his son. His son equals evidence. The laptop equals texts equals photos equals facts, evidence. That\u2019s what we\u2019re talking about. We\u2019re not talking about anybody\u2019s name.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe issue is Joe Biden\u2019s behavior. Why did Joe Biden deny knowing about any business activities when it\u2019s been contradicted by proof that we have in the laptop that contains texts, emails, and photos? That\u2019s all this is. Elise Stefanik (@RepStefanik) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepStefanik\/status\/1623773115284090880?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 9, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Democratic Fox News commentator Marie Harf jumped in and defensively argued that \u201cthe House GOP cannot help themselves because there is no evidence, that anyone has seen, that this involves national security or that Joe Biden somehow compromised national security.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She posited that \u201cthese culture war issues\u201d don\u2019t really garner concern among voters and that is partially why Republicans underperformed in the 2022 midterms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere is evidence,\u201d Fleischer informed her. \u201cIf Joe Biden received 10 percent\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Harf desperately seized on the word \u201cif,\u201d clapping back, \u201cThat\u2019s not evidence! That\u2019s not evidence!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&quot;Whistleblower disclosures to my office make clear that the FBI has..evidence with respect to potential criminal conduct by Hunter&#8230;[They] also allege that Joe Biden was aware of Hunter Biden&#39;s business arrangements and may have been involved in some of them.&quot;  &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChuckGrassley?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ChuckGrassley<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5Cp9lx4ecM\">pic.twitter.com\/5Cp9lx4ecM<\/a><\/p>&mdash; House Republicans (@HouseGOP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HouseGOP\/status\/1623752139012014080?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 9, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Harf pretty much got into it with everyone as she defended Biden while the panel clobbered her with references to Tony Bobulinski\u2019s \u201c10 percent for the big guy\u201d email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Panelist Lisa Boothe eventually turned the conversation toward allegations that the FBI pressured Twitter into suppressing the New York Post\u2019s laptop story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emily Compagno reignited the confrontation with Harf by saying, \u201cIt boggles my mind that you can say in such a seemingly either oversimplistic or whitewashing way that there has been no evidence against Hunter Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s not Joe Biden,\u201d Harf responded getting her hackles up again. \u201cThe DOJ is investigating Hunter Biden. We know that. We know the Department of Justice has open investigations on Hunter Biden. Let those go forward! I\u2019m not saying they should stop. I\u2019m saying we should investigate if there is wrongdoing [but] the leap from that to Joe Biden is somehow \u2018compromised\u2019 and has done things that put our national security at risk is not there in the facts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hunter Biden\u2019s lawyer denies House GOP demand for records of his overseas business deals <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/bRyzVWlKSq\">https:\/\/t.co\/bRyzVWlKSq<\/a><\/p>&mdash; American Wire News (@americanwire_) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/americanwire_\/status\/1624063137778397184?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 10, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The panel vigorously contested that assertion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Harf wound up asking Kayleigh McEnany, \u201cDo you have evidence that even happened?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boothe remarked that President Biden is under investigation for his mishandling of classified material and the panel went off on that tangent. But Fleischer circled back to the Biden business deals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/americanwirenews.com\/watters-explodes-over-blatant-corruption-with-zero-repercussions-gets-in-screaming-match-go-to-break\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">This is such a perfect conversation.<\/a>&nbsp;Such an illustration of the gaps between the parties and a lesson about communication. For Republicans, we take it as religion. We\u2019ve seen it, we know it, we believe it. Democrats reject it all. But the problem I have with the Democrats is that means you\u2019re rejecting the written testimony, the written word showing 10% for Joe Biden of business deals,\u201d Fleischer charged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhich does mean that Joe Biden made money off of all these deals that his family was doing around the world. And secondly, you\u2019re rejecting the oral testimony of Tony Bobulinski, who was an insider that knew what was going on and said that yes, Joe Biden was the \u2018Big Guy,\u2019 he got 10%. But the Republicans\u2019 challenge is to make those facts of what\u2019s in print and what was testified orally to Independent voters and some Democrats who are open-minded. Because we believe it but the Democrats don\u2019t hear it because Republicans\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/americanwirenews.com\/hunter-bidens-lawyer-denies-house-gop-demand-for-records-of-his-overseas-business-deals\/\" target=\"_blank\">just go around saying, \u2018Hunter! Hunter!
