Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is being criticized by MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell because, in his opinion, he \u201cshowed his real\u201d colors by organizing a panel discussion on \u201cdefamation\u201d that included a lawyer representing Dominion Voting Systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Attorney Libby Locke from the Dominion was on DeSantis\u2019s panel, and he complimented her as \u201cextraordinare at first amendment, defamation law.\u201d Locke argued on the panel that it ought to be simpler for businesses like Dominion to prevail in defamation cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOne of these lawsuits is practically hard to bring and win,\u201d according to Locke. \u201cAnd the media escapes with no legal repercussions whatsoever. And I believe that the press will change as a result. They think in terms of money. And when there are financial repercussions for lying about objectives for reporting, ratings, and ad sales, that is \u2014 when there are genuine repercussions through private action, that is when they will be held responsible to their insurers and shareholders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have written on the dubious legal strategies used by Dominion Voting Systems when they issued unfriendly letters to those who had seen vote fraud in the 2020 presidential election firsthand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAttorneys employed by Dominion voting systems have written at least one threatening letter with a list of demands to an electoral fraud whistleblower in a competitive state where hundreds of unaffiliated observers claim to have seen vote manipulation taking place on election night.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Big League Politics has a letter that was sent to a whistleblower in Michigan. The whistleblower, who wishes to remain anonymous due to possible reprisal, claimed that while filing their sworn declaration concerning the fraud they witnessed at a ballot processing site, they had no idea what Dominion was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The letter added, \u201cThis letter is your formal notice to halt and desist participating in defaming Dominion and to preserve all records that may be relevant to Dominion\u2019s ongoing legal claims.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thomas Clare and Megan Meier, solicitors, listed their company as \u201cdefamation counsel\u201d for Dominion in the letter, which was delivered on December 28. The whistleblower was required to submit confidential material, including interactions with attorneys in the Trump administration, and respond in writing to their requests, according to a letter they delivered by Federal Express.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lawyers penned, \u201cYour need to preserve records extends both to you and to any companies that you control.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cConfirm that you have received this letter and that you plan to follow our request to keep the papers in the manner outlined above. The letter requested that this is not a full description of Dominion\u2019s rights and remedies, all of which are explicitly reserved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fact that DeSantis provided a platform for this Dominion attorney to present herself as a victim does not seem to be a coincidence. This appears to be a component of his RINO-supported strategy to undermine the America First movement and permanently oust MAGA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
