As with their reaction to Covid-19\u2019s origins, they have brazenly lied from the day that the balloon\u2019s presence was made public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is abundantly clear that the craft was not a weather balloon, not least because of its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/what-we-know-dont-know-about-chinese-balloon-2023-02-08\/\">uncharacteristically massive<\/a>\u00a0size. Yet China opted to construct a tall tale about a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/02\/03\/china-tells-us-to-remain-cool-headed-over-suspected-spy-balloon.html\">wandering weather balloon<\/a>\u00a0that somehow ended up over America. Oh, and the balloon over Latin America? That was just another\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/americas\/costa-rica-says-china-apologizes-balloon-incident-over-its-airspace-2023-02-07\/\">errant storm tracker<\/a>.
