Veteran newsman Tucker Carlson has released the first episode of his new show, “Tucker Carlson on Twitter”, diving deep into the destruction of a critical bridge in Ukraine in a ten minute video.
“Hey, it’s Tucker Carlson!” the host began in the video captioned only “Ep. 1” before launching directly into the destruction of a Ukrainian dam.
Carlson eventually pivoted to a clip of Nikki Haley, the Republican presidential candidate and former ambassador to the United Nations, who claimed that it is vital to the interests of the United States for Ukraine to win its defensive war against Russia during her recent CNN Town Hall.
“See? It’s very easy to understand,” said Carlson, summarizing Haley’s remarks. “It’s vitally important for you to support Ukraine because it is necessary for Ukraine to be supported by you. Your support is mandatory until it is finished, whatever ‘it’ is and whatever that means. So shut up and support Ukraine or else you’re in trouble.”
Carlson first previewed his new program after being fired by Fox News. The video Carlson used signal his return ultimately eclipsed all cable news during the week of its release and received more views than Joe Biden’s most recent State of the Union Address.
Many have speculated that Carlson may be able to host a show on Twitter due to a reported clause in his old Fox News contract that specifically forbade the host from joining a competing broadcast or cable news network in the event he is dismissed from on-air duties, but made special provisions to allow him to continue posting to social media in such a scenario.
The reasons for Carlson’s dismissal from Fox News remain unclear, but James O’Keefe and his new O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) released clandestinely recorded video showing a Fox News producer claim the newsman was fired as part of the network’s settlement with Dominion Voting Systems.
Meanwhile Infowars host Alex Jones, a known associate of Carlson, echoed reports claiming Rupert Murdoch became incensed with jealousy during a dinner with his ex-fiance and Carlson. His ex reportedly identified with Carlson’s worldview and gushed over the opportunity to dine with the influential host, reportedly to Murdoch’s disgust. He broke off his engagement soon after the reported dinner.
